I always write in my journal on a daily basis.....and I thought that it would be a cool thing to have our Very Own Pixies Journal.
A Thread where you can add your thoughts and going's on...or reflect on your session at Pixies.

Alarm went off at 5 am, sent hubby off to work. Didn't get any sex...:( ... just a kiss Goodbye.... Went back to bed, reached under my bed and took out vibrator...buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Had 5 glorious orgasms!!
Then once relaxed..I jumped in the shower and had 2 more orgasms with the shower head!!! Got dressed, jeans and blue sweatshirt, put on make-up and then woke up kids and got them fed and off to school. Then I went to work at 6:30 am with a smile on my face! :)

Oops...guess my fingers where a bit busy..sorry guys!!
Now I am ready to leave Pixies and go back to work.... :(...Wish I could say.

Woke up around 3:45 AM, turned the TV to the weather channel. Brrrr. Covered back up and dozed until about 4:30. Got up and logged onto Pixies. Posted a bit, then got my son up to get ready for school (finals today). Fixed breakfast for my wife and son and a bowl of cereal for me.
About 6:45 took my son up to the high school and returned to the grade school to fill in for my wife in what's called "Before Care." My wife as most of you know is confined to bed rest until we see the surgeon this Thursday, so for this week, I'm filling in on her job.
Got done at about 8:30 and came home to get ready for my cardiac rehab. Friend picked me up just before 10 and drove me to Peoria. Finsihed about 11:30 and went to a mall. Friend had some shopping to do and I had to exchange my computer printer that decided to die yesterday with a "broken carriage." ( Not more computer problems :( )
Got home about 2:30 and had to deliever a cell phone to my daughter (back in Peoria of course) that they forgot at out house last night. Got home in time to take some keys up to the school where one of the kids locked a closet they weren't suppose to.
Came home, fixed a chicken casserole for dinner ate and logged back onto Pixies to finish the Smut Game work started so many hours ago. It's now ... 7:40 PM.
What a fun day!

Up at 4am with sick daughter....up, down, up, down, up, down until 6 am when she allowed us both a cat nap. Up at 7, fed daughter, got ready, woke up son, started car, woke up son again, got daughter dressed, woke up son final time and got him dressed. Took kids to daycare(son fought the whole trip)
Work for 9 hours
Stopped at grocery store for some supplies
Came home, cooked dinner for kids, fed them
Cooked chicken casserole for hubby and then made fruit smoothies for family....
Put daughter to bed
Hopped online to feed my addiction and post at Pixies
Put son to bed
Put self to bed
Notice the sad lack of sex or orgasms?!?!?!?!?  :(

5:10 woke up and watched the clock till alarm went off at 5:45.
Shave/Shower/Shampoo...Dressed
Woke wife up, went to get morning Fox News fix.
Got coffee and juice ready for wife and walked her out to car.
Went back in and woke up kids...turned on PowerPuff Girls (never underestimate the power of these girls in getting kids dressed).
Dressed kids....the older boy woke up an asshole just like he went to bed.
Coats on went out to bus stop and sent boy on his way.
Dropped girl off at pre-school and went to work
Worked straight through to 1:30 then went to dentist for gum cleaning...1-1/2 of hell if you ask me.
3:00 Came home logged onto pixies for a few, chatted a bit
4:30 Made Meatloaf, asparagus and noodles for supper. (My daughter only ate cottage cheese- go figure)
Played knights with the kids till 7:30, settled down, put daughter to bed at 8:00
Logged onto pixies till later..

Woke up at 7:30am by fumbling around trying to find the 'off' button for my damn alarm clock.
Went back to sleep.
Woke up at 7:35am by leaping out of bed, running to the other side of the room and turning off my damn stereo system!
Showered and shaved... everything, then got dressed and went downstairs to read the paper whilst eating my breakfast (bowl of cereal).
Ten past eight and I'm out the door, in the car and driving to work. Eurgh. Best not talking about.
Back home by 5:30pm, relaxed in my room and masturbated. Went and helped dad with some gardening and things around the house.
Dinner at 6:30pm was a lovely venison pie, cooked by my dear mother. A few more things around the house - set the timer on the vcr etc because my parents are technologically illiterate, lol!
Then I head off to work again, but this time just for Pixies and play on the computers - the advantage of a family business!
And here I am!
A lovely day except for the early morning, and the going to work!!! :)

7:13 Woke up! Hey it's a start!
Head is pounding................ahhhhhhhhhhh yes last night.........now I remember...... (squiggle lines scroll signalling flashback:p)
Drank mudslides and schnapps till midnight, when I was supposed to do homework, see just like the co-eds do it. Got off-line, crawled in bed with Mr. Lilith.....I gave him a couple subtle hints I was in neeeeeeed. Hmmmmm.......no immediate response......so I reached across him to fumble for my trusty purple friend.
Within seconds it was purrrrrrrrring and so was I.....funny how that got his attention:p A kinky romp ensued! Next thing I know it was 2 am ......(squiggles again :p)
I woke up....and had coffee and perving already....now trying to figure out how I can wear my jammies to car pool.......

Woke up at 7........had coffee and chatted online with a friend;)
Drove carpool and was at school by 9 to fight for a parking space.
Continued reading "Rapture of Canaan" (great book!) in the parking lot while listening to a homemade cd mix of Ben Harper and Cake:p
Survived Algebra and plotted the murder of the Astronomy professor.........it will be considered self defense as he is trying to bore me to death I am convinced:D
Came home and had lunch with Fussy Pucker:)
Ran to do afternoon carpool and make AVON deliveries..........rushing home so I could have 1 hr to perv before I headed off to cater. Catering went well and I am finally home.
Kids are all OK and I get time to relax.......... Heading to chat in a bit to see how everyone else's day went.
Tomorrow is my play day!!!! Can't wait!

Woke up around 2 a.m. after having fallen asleep on the couch around 8 p.m. Watched some TV, did some surfing until DH woke up.
Watched some more TV with DH until he fell back to sleep and then played at Pixies for a while. Also started searching for a new avatar. Gotta keep these people on their toes....don't want anyone to get bored looking at the same avatar for too long. :D
Went back to sleep around 7 a.m......then woke around 11.
Got a lot of unpacking done. DH changed shelf liner for me and I got some dishes and glassware put away finally. I'm trying my damndest to get the place at least halfway organized as quickley as I can. We've invited Murphy and his family for dinner this coming Sunday and I don't want everyone to be tripping over boxes.
No internet service most of the day.....DAMN!! And I'm so far behind with all the posts and games here!!!
Oh well....I know it's a boring life at the moment. But hopefully it won't be boring for long. :D

Ok, I said I wouldn't bore anybody with my daily life (trust me, it bores me to tears most days), but today was...interesting to say the least. Started off like every other morn, pack up #2 son to daycare to catch his bus to school, but this am there was a threat of snow later, before noon...people around here can't drive under ideal conditions, throw a little snow & ice on the ground & they become freakin morons...but only 1-2" was predicted, & the way I deal with something like that is wait for the amateurs to get out of the way, then I can drive ok...so I had no qualms about kids being in school, or wife & I going to work. Short time after getting to work, the snow starts, they announce the schools are closing & they'll start taking the kids home as soon as the buses can get back...well, the snow starts coming down at a rate of 2" per hour, & something happened that never had before...the streets froze up & stranded EVERYBODY who was on the road at the moment...
some of you have seen this arbor before, but here it is with 6" of snow on it...
scotzoidman
01-17-2003, 01:22 AM
Now while we're all stranded at work or school, #1 son (20 yrs old & still no job) is helping people get up our street, a treacherous curving hill, & later he lets someone park in our drivway since she can't make it up the hill...wife goes to pick up #2 son (since the buses are stuck in traffic) finds her way home ok, but she can't get near the driveway...she knows a car is there, but now there are TWO buses stuck in the middle of the street in front of our house...she has to park in the driveway across the street...

01-17-2003, 01:25 AM
Did I mention that there were kids still on the buses?

01-17-2003, 01:43 AM
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...well, at work, anyway...I venture out on the roads to make my way home...all day we've heard the the main access road is not moving at all, I found myself sitting...& waiting...took 1 1/2 hour to go the 1/2 mile to that main road...2 1/2 hrs after I left, I stop to call my wife & tell her that I'm actually farther from home than where I started...can't get to the roads I want to go, forced to crawl along following the flow (such as it is)...that little stop turned out to be perfectly timed, traffic finally started to move at a slow but steady rate...didn't run into any more jams, but still going very slowly, thinking "Don't get home fast...just get home!"
Pulled up the my home, parked across the street, THREE & ONE-HALF HOURS after leaving work, normally a 20-30 minute drive...
Still a little stressed out now, but I hope to sleep well tonite...
Let's see, woke up around 10am to my roommates cats fighting. This was after staying up till 5am playing Gamecube. Decided then to go ahead and get up and fix coffee. Coffee=Good. Drank some cofee, had a couple smokes. Signed on, logged onto Pixies. After about 4 hours of perving it was time to have my "O" for the day. Got in the shower, went to work. Ran and got a 6-pack at luch and threw it in the fridge. Ran back to work. Got off work, signed back on and logged onto Pixies...and here I am..lol. Whatta life...

Diva's Entry.
It's been awhile since I recorded an entry...sorry....
But I have been so busy these past two weeks that I have neglected alot of things. There is just not enough hours in a day for me. From work, to home, back to work and then home at 6pm...then feed family, clean the house..then do the TAXi thing for the kids...Damn I need a long WARM holiday.
I need time just for me. For Us... I so want that...We so need that. I deserve that! If only he would see that..if only he would wisk me away...to a place, sunny and warm...where I could lay on the beach....mmmm a private beach...make love on the sand.....
He dosen't realize just how much that would rejuvenate me....
Instead I am stuck here. Working my ass off. Freezing. He can be such a jerk at times!!
Oh well it's nice to dream....and to fantasize.....
Reality Sets In....

Just had to post a belated journal entry for Monday, Jan 27:
Today I received the letter in the mail saying I was approved for May graduation as long as I passed all my classes successfully this semester. I've had to jump through a couple flaming hoops throughout my college career, so getting this in the mail finally took a HUGE weight off my shoulder, and I really did shed a couple of tears of joy because it is now just fairly smooth sailing these last few months. I can now concentrate on finishing this semester and begin to job hunt.
Now it is Tuesday-and later on, I plan to go shopping or doing something to celebrate. :D

Up at about 4:15 this morning and immediately logged onto Pixies. ( Just love this site, although it's probably not noticeable. :) ) Little later will have to get ready for cardiac rehab. Only 6-8 sessions left (lost count) out of the 24 I was originally scheduled for. Really, it's been great ... treadmill, bicycle type machines; rowing machines, stair master, weight lifting and stretching exercises.
Wife and I are thinking of joining a local fitness center when I'm done so that we can continue to exercise. She's going right now to one for water therapy on her back and loves it.
Anyway, probably will start working on my taxes this afternoon. At least getting things together and seeing what I need to be looking for. Gosh, what a fun thing to think about. Maybe I'll just have to log back on to Pixies, instead. :D
Better stop here or I'll never get all the smut games played. ;)

Friday February 14, 2003.
Well, today I got up at 7:30am which, as I'm sure I've told you before Diary, is far too goddammed early to be awake at all.... so I leapt into the shower to help wake me up, and while in there I did a bit of 'touching up' with the razor... chest and armpits...
When I'd finished my shower I nearly froze to death, so I jumped back in bed to try to warm up as quickly as I could....... before long, my hands were moving of their own accord and 'warming me up' a treat! By the time all that had finished it was almost time to leave so I cleaned up and got dressed, then headed off to work.
Work was thankfully not very busy, but it was still a drag like always unfortunately. I was very lazy, and managed to get out of most of the difficult stuff :)
Spent most of the day in a bit of a daze really - never quite fully awake or concentrating!
Left early at about 3:30 and went home - everyone's out! Excellent! Stripped off immediately, went out and got the mail (bank statement, bad news as always) then fed the dog.
I then went and got my camera, and tripod and everything, and set it up outside.... took a few pics (see the Pics of Men forum!) and then went inside. Watched some tv, then went and put some clothes on before Mum came home.
Had dinner, just fish and chips... then jumped on the computer and posted my pics.... and chatted the rest of the night away!

Didn't notice this thread before so here goes with my day!
12 a.m. - I met up with my supervisor to kick his ass at trivia at the bar. Some beers later, I return home.
2 a..m - Check Pixies for fun posts.
3 a.m. off to bed (after having had a couple more beers)
11 a.m. Wake up and Tyler is wide awake and ready to chat (the boy can't stand silence). Where's the coffee machine?). Three friends call and I chat while thinking of getting ready for work.
2:30 - leave for work . .. . deal with idiot customers until the shift (my Friday YAY!) finally ends at 11:30 p.m. Dealt with assholes on my dating/telepersonals phone system. Many, many assholes tonight. Some men bitch and complain about losing two minutes of time from the system. I understand they're paying good money for the system but the way some of them freak out saddens me. If they lose a buck worth of time, they call us cursing and swearing.
Midnight until now - 5 a.m. - am drinking some delicious beers and contemplate calling my parents since they're just waking up. Have surfed Pixies and other sites in between two episodes of SNL. The new one with Queen Latifah as host sucked. The "classic" with Rob Lowe from 1997 was pretty damn funny.
Thank God for weekends.

Woke up around 4AM. Checked the weather and news on TV, then logged onto the next to check for mail and look in on Pixies.
Ate some breakfast, and then when a heavy storm brewed up, took a nap and watched a bit more TV. Checked in on Pixies again until our oldest daughter stopped by. Wife and I gave her her Mother's Day present. While she visited with my wife, ran (drove actually :D) to the bank. Came back, watched Spies Like Us and got back onto Pixies. Here I am now. Stuck a Mexician pizza in the oven for lunch. :D Oh yeah, the sun has come out bright and it's gotten quite warm.

This week started off wet & miserable...... and got worse! Thursday one of "my" patients was found dead in his house, by his ex-partner..... yesterday I had to write a ton of reports - talk with his family - write MORE reports - now we all have to wait for the autopsy to be done..... sometime next week. Worst thing is the effects on his family.... mum and one brother are also clients of ours..... NOT nice.
Up-side is...... went out shopping with Celticangel today..... got a new helmet, gloves etc for our trip to the Isle of Man T.T...... three weeks from now, we'll have watched the first two races of the meeting......... weather permitting!!

Steph- I got this e-mail by mistake. It's for you. :)
Ø How to bathe the cat:
> 1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.
>
> 2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet
> water and put both lids up.
>
> 3. Pick up the cat and soothe him and tell him how
> much you love him while you carry him towards the
> bathroom.
>
> 4. VERY IMPORTANT - Quickly check to make sure the
> cat is bigger in circumference than the toilet drain.
>
> 5. In one quick movement put the cat in the toilet
> and close both of the lids in one fluid motion.
> You may need to stand on the lid so he cannot
> escape. The cat will self agitate with his body
> movement and make ample suds. Never mind the noises
> that come from the toilet as the cat is actually
> enjoying this.
>
> 6. After the cat has self agitated for about five
> minutes flush the toilet three or four times.
> This provides a "Power-wash" and "rinse" which I have
> found to be quite effective.
>
> 7. Have someone open the door to the outside, and
> ensure that there are no people between the toilet

Just posting a bit until the fitness center opens at 5AM. Then, off to get in shap. That's where everything that settled to the middle gets encouraged to move up a bit. :)
Then home to my honey and later today, off to lunch and a bit of shopping at a new mall in Peoria we've never been to.

Went back to work today, after two days off.... had a good run on my bike wednesday, got it serviced yesterday (thursday!), ready for our trip to the Isle of Man.
Went to the funeral of a patient of mine who was found dead in his home last week; a lovely guy, but suffered from Bi-polar disorder. Still not sure how he died... post-mortem was inconclusive. All his five kids were there.... how does a 5 year old cope? I found it difficult, and I'd only known him for 18 months!
Can't be with my Love tonight........ makes things harder to cope with..
Can't wait to see her tomorrow!

16 May, 2003...Friday
Just found this thread and nearly pee'd my pants on post about cat bathing! Wondering if I should change my wooden toilet seat to porcelin (so cat claw marks won't ruin it) before I bathe Rocky.
Anyway......rose at 7:30ish this morning cause I am off work due to cut back to 32 hours. Squeezed out of blankets as cat gave me "the look". Got up and cat jumped from bed. Went downstairs. Got a cup of (cold) coffee.......damn F&*$in coffee maker....shutting off after two hours...my ass! Flicked the button to turn the heat element on again. Ran the hot water in the sink and dumped some cold coffee and "freshened" up my cup. Turned on TV and watched an infomercial while I drank my delicious first cup. Felt the unexplained need to buy a pilates machine. Fought the feeling and got up and went to get another....ahhhhhhh......hot (1/2 cup) coffee......to which I added cold water to cool it down. Yep! That's better!
Stripped in the living room and threw my jammies down the basement steps (knowing I'll be back inna few to sort laundry). Started the shower and cat came in to remind me that this isn't the procedure. Shut water off and went to feed cat. Came back to bathroom and started shower again. Showered...wishing I could feel this good forever. Got out and toweled off and went to open back door for cat. Thought to self......when is that fucker getting a job so I can lounge around like him?
Upstairs...made the bed and got some clothes. Looked in mirror and cringed.........(we women do that from time to time)........dressed and went downstairs aqain.....and then down to basement to sort laundry. Started a load and cleaned poop from litter box. Swept up litter from every nook and cranny of basement. Thought to self...If aliens are watching us, they don't have to ask who the leader of this planet is! Took poop (in baggie) up to bathroom to flush. Let cat back in.
Sorted bills and placed all "junk mail" in envelopes to go back to respective senders (name withheld). Got on line to make sure I actually had money in the bank (since I still have so many checks). Did bills......ignored a call from sis in-between cause she hates to talk when I am doing bills. Called sis back to gripe about doing bills. Misery loves company...she bitched back at me.
Got on Pixies and ran around the threads posting like a nut. Went like this the rest of the day.....Pixies, laundry, Pixies, laundry, Pixies, laundry...........supper.......and Pixies again. Stayed in tonight cause hubby loaded 1200 holes today and was exhausted. KABOOM!

Good morning all. Been up about 2-hours with most of the time here at Pixies checking what all happened since I went to bed last night. Made my morning pass through the smut games. Added a few to our million count. You know, normal daily stuff.
Going to be a beautiful day here. Hope to plant some more flowers. Got a bunch coming up in front. Will take some pictures if they ever bloom. (Boy things go slow when you watch.)

More yesterday than this morning (which has been pretty normal).
Went down to Decatur, Illinois yesterday to place flowers at the burial site of my wife's father; then to a nursing home to spend time with her mom who is 87. Visited with one of her brothers and sisters before leaving to go over to Springfield, Illinois where we placed flowers at the burial site of my mom and dad at Camp Butler National Cemetary. Camp Butler is one of the nations original 14 national cemetaries established by Abraham Lincoln on the site of a Civil War army post. More than 30,000 now buried there. After that we stopped at a church called St. Francis of Assisi. It's the home for Franciscan Nuns and is a beautiful church. I've attached a photo give you some idea how it looks.
Anyway, had a wonderful day, beautiful weather, and a nice drive with just the two of us.

Here I am Steph.
Our 40th anniversary was absolutely terrific. In the morning our oldest daughter and her family came over and went with us to church. We were ushers (my wife and I) and after the homily, we renewed our wedding vows. It was really neat because just by coincidence, the church was decorated with lots fo flowers so it really helped set the mood.
After church, we went to lunch with our daughter and her husband and had a thoroughly good time visiting. On the way home we drove through the areas damaged by the tornado some weeks ago (they'd never seen it). Big quarter to half-million dollar homes broken like so many toothpicks not to mention the apartments and everything else that got damaged.
After they dropped us off, we had to get ready to go into Peoria for another dinner that evening, this time with some thirty or forty other couples. Wasn't all for us, but we were toasted which was nice.
Tomorrow we head over to our daughter's in Indianapolis where we'll spend a couple of days with her, her husband, and our granddaughter; then on to Cincinnati to spend some more time with our third daughter and her husband.
Our daughter in Cincinnati has reserved for us a night at a local inn so we can have some private time. Should be wonderful. Then back to their house for another day.
Plan a stop in Springfield, Illinois as we head home this weekend. Turning this anniversary into something of a week long celebration.
Yippee. Now we start the second half of our married life. :D :D

(confusing, no?)
stayed there until 10:00pm and then came back and chilled in the my hottub with a friend and talked about stuff. then she went home and i got on pixies and have been posting like mad because i havent gotten to get on in while.

I'm so glad dicksbro is spending a week celebrating the first half of his married life :) It sounds wonderful!!!
I am sweating in my second-floor apartment in Toronto. Went to karaoke after work and decided to sing on the spur of the moment. Realized I was too nervous (and sober) to sing on key so changed "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" to "Every Little Thing SARS does is magic" so the crowd loved the class clown :)
And so goes my Monday (cuz Tuesday is my Monday).

Woke up this morning at 9:00 am. Haven't done that in a while. I must be stressed. Usually I sleep until about 11:00. Oh well. I start stretching as my little girl climbs in the bed with me. She is such a lovey dovey in the morning. We snuggled and giggled for about half an hour. As I got out of bed I hear the dreaded words out of my daughter's mouth as she is digging through her closet. "I have nothing to wear!!" Man I hate it when the day start off on that note. She can complain and bitch and moan and groan for HOURS on that subject and she is only 5. Ugh! Sometimes I wish that I dressed her in the middle of the night so she wouldn't think about getting dressed. Trying to get going this morning I figured I would check my email and then get off the computer for the rest of the day. If only! Brrrrrrring, damn instant messages. 'hey hi how are you this morning we aren't sure if the bank is going to accept our offer maybe you can drive down check out the building alone blah blah blah'. When will it ever end. So as my instant messenger keeps giving me more and more and more info I log into Pixies. Checking out new posts always seems to be a joy for me. And ....... what is this *Pixies Journal* hot damn! So I sit back and type away. TY TY TY! Well, I think my instant messages are over so I am off the computer for today. I must finish working on getting our house ready to sale.

Had LOADS of hassle from a doctor on thursday, who wanted someone to go and visit one of his patients and detain him (kinda like a court order, which allows him to be taken to hospital against his wishes!) Thing was, the Dr didn't know (a) where the patient actually was (b) what his mental state was {hadn't seen him for over a week} and threw in a the last minute the guy was intending to cut all his skin off..... and had several knives to do it with!! And wanted US to go get him...... don't think so!

Well had a shit of an afternoon...
Spent the last 3 hours in the ER at the local hospital....
The youngest son spilt boiling hot soup into his lap....amongst the screams of both him and his brother..i worked out what had happened and quickly scooted him toward a cold shower.
Got Bilbo to come and pick us all up and off to the ER we went....him screaming with pain...
Got him there they put a drip in....(i've found how upsetting it is to be totally helpless to take the pain away from your child)...some Morphine and a much happier kid ensued....
The part that suffered the worst damage, his penis, blistered and extremely tender as you could imagine. But at least it's not as bad as it could have been!!
What a bitch of a day

I run a Walking Group for patients/clients as part of my job, and yesterday (Friday) was the latest excursion. We had been planning to do part of the West Highland Way called Conic Hill... we did it 2 years ago, and figured because of the Very high (for Scotland!!) temperatures, we'd skip that and do what looked like a pretty easy section! Oops!! Turned out there were lots of pretty steep climbs, the last one of which was a 300ft ascent in a distance of less than 1/4 of a mile!!
Still, we made it! (just) Nice thing was, we pased and re-passed and passed again a young couple from Hawaii, who'd come over to walk the full 'Way (96 miles!!!) and expected the usual Scottish summer - i.e. wind, rain, midges......... LOL!! THEY made it too, despite the lassie carrying a pretty badly cut knee!!
Anyhoo..... VERY stiff and sore this morning, despite a long soak in the tub last night! The things I do for my job!! :)

I can't believe I'm getting ready for work. Because of the heat, the overtime I worked last night and the dog getting sprayed by a skunk, I've only had about two, maybe three hours of sleep. I spent 10 hours in an unconditioned building at work, and came home to sweltering heat because we couldn't use our fans . . . I'm so tired and if work doesn't have a/c going, I'll probably have to turn around and go home.
Tyler had to miss work to tend to the de-stinking of the dog. Craziness.

Can't believe I woke up at 2:30 this morning. That's early even for me. Anyway, as usual, my first thought is to hop onto Pixies and see what's happening.
Exceptionally quiet, it seems. Probably ought to lay back down for an hour since I do have to work today. :(

Here is my day....
Woke up at 530 with the bf. Watched the news while he was int he shower... Kissed him as he left... Sat down and watched another 5 minutes of the news until I heard Pixies Place calling my name. The rest of the day will consist of cross stitch TV and looking for a job...

Sounds better than getting eaten by clowns...they always leave white makeup on your thighs. ha ha.
Woke up at 6:30, scratched and rubbed myself until 6:45 or so, showered, dressed & fed the kids, put them on the bus, had breakfast & coffee, came to work, hollered at a few morons, logged on to pixies and started to relax.

Had to take CA's car to the "Doctors" yesterday....... split exhaust!! :(
Went for a wee run, then lunched "out". Feeling frisky when we got back...... NO kids, NO people on the phone/at the door....... BLISS!! (Couldn't find the spare memory card for the camera, so NO pics, either!! ;)
Had to go look after my daughter last night, while her mother went out "on the piss"!!! Don't mind that, but my Ex's PC (which is a LOT newer than mine!) runs XP and a dial-up...... combined with a tendency to shut of Windows at the most inopportune times, is enough to drive a Saint nuts..... and I ain't no Saint!!
Ho hum....... back there tonight, too! :( :(

Fixed up my resume with a nice co-worker over the weekend, applied for two jobs on Monday and heard back from one on Tuesday. Went to the job interview but couldn't find the address. Found the street, found the other nearby addresses . . . realized I was going to be late and realized I didn't really want that job . . .
Nice morning sex session this morning. Am taking a break from pretty much everything until work at 3:30 p.m.
Oh wait, looks like a good job to apply for . . .

Woke up about 3:30 and figured I'd just log on to see what was happening. It's after 6:00 and I'm still here. It's raining out. I was suppose to be in a parade today, but not sure if it'll happen right now. :(
Oh well, it'd give me more time for Pixies. (Am I addicted or what? :D )

Have to work this weekend ~ but we were really quiet, so I had plenty of time to work on my story!! Gonna get an opinion or two on it, then (IF it comes up to scratch!!) post it. Funny, but the prospect of that makes me MORE nervous than ANY picture I've posted!! Go figure, huh?? :)

I spent the day tying up loose ends. I had lunch with some friends, started packing for TN, got info on my new corporate apartment in TN, and sent the cat (my only child) off to stay with grandma.
Then I drove my sweetie to the airport for his flight to San Francisco. It's only three months, and I will see him in a couple of weeks, but it feels so final. We're saying "goodbye" to our quiet and predictable life together in Columbus.
I've felt excited all week, but tonight I just feel sad...and drained. I wonder sometimes why we work so hard and value our personal lives so little. Am I making the right choice?????
Only time will tell.

Another couple of hours, though, and it'll be off to work. Little shorter hours than yesterday, but still be on until 2PM.

I've got to get a job with regular hours. It's tough to maintain a relationship when you only see each other on Sundays and Monday evenings. Last night Tyler worked until 10 p.m. so we didn't even have much of an evening.
I do have a job interview on Friday and am looking every day for more jobs. We're also going to look for a bigger place because our lease is up in March and we don't want to leave here after that . . . once I get a better job, we'll be looking at having kids, too.
I also have a lot of stuff to do before surgery in October . . . I hope I'm not off work too long.

Steph, didn't realize you had surgery coming up. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Anyway, kind of chilly this morning (chance of frost in some low areas). Gotta do some caulking and start that car waxing that I didn't get to yesterday. :(
Plus, of course, gotta spend some time here at Pixies. :D
Steph

I have four vacation days booked off for surgery - the day before, the day of and two days after. Then it's my weekend . . . I also have four sick days left for the rest of the year. It might be enough time off to recuperate before I head back to work. It'll be a long slog of physio - six months of tedious work but it'll be worth it.
I'll probably reach DB status in posts since I'll be housebound for days! We live on the second floor, after all.

Surgery is in five days and I'm going o be immobolized for a while. I'm trying to fit everything in - laundry, groceries, errands, car stuff - before I get my leg ligament repaired. Life is almost surreal now. I'm pleasantly stoned right now and facing IV morphine to dull the leg pain.
Freaky. Recovery will be long but I'll have a strong, healthy leg again.

Surgery is around the corner. I know it's not a HUGE deal. It's not my heart or lungs but shite! The knee/leg is complicated.
Luckily, here in Canuckville, my surgery is paid for by the government and my employer will pay me 66% of my wage when I'm away.
I'll keep my journal posted. I'll be careful of posting when I'm on painkillers :)

Off to physio in the morning. It'll be my first time outside since I returned from the hospital on the 24th! I only took one painkiller tonight and the ol' leg feels a lot stronger.
I also got a call today about a job I applied for a month ago. It sounds interesting. As someone I e-mail from a message board about ACL surgery said, "You can always tell the interviewer you hurt your leg rescuing a child from a fire!"
I like it :)

Major thunder and lightning last night as we made way for a cold front today. It's very windy now, reminds me of home. It's the first day since I've been here that they've closed the Hamilton Sky Bridge.
A bit of pain in the knee today . . . I'm probably overdoing it. I'll take it easy today.
Short-term disability money showed up. I don't think I've ever been so happy to pay bills as I was today!

Steph, I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling up to getting back to work. Just don't overdo it. We'll still keep you in our thoughts, if that's okay. :)
Wow, so much has happened. My wife's mom looked so good, we got home the evening of the 9th (See previous post). We like to think that the way we saw her was God's way of giving us some wonderful final memories. She passed away that evening and we just spent yesterday afternoon in Decatur at her visitation and today at her funeral.
The good news is those fond memories and getting to see so many family and friends. The service was beautiful and, while cold and windy, the sun shown brightly. The church where she attended before she became confined to the nursing home, fixed a wonderful lunch for after the internment, and my wife's brother was kind enough to have everyone to his home this afternoon.
Being the person I am, I like to think she's now with my wife's dad just in time for Christmas. For me, that's a very comforting thought.
Steph
11-18-2003, 07:58 AM
I'm glad the visitation was so comforting (as is your lovely thought of a reunion for Christmas, DB).
Well, I'm off to work this afternoon for the first time in almost a month. I'd hoped to have had a kick ass interview for another job yesterday but that wasn't in the cards. On the bright side, that setback has made me more determined to get more resumes out.
I'll be starting a project for Tyler's company soon, too. I hope I can multitask as I do it so I don't have to stay away from Pixies too much. :)

**bump**
I spent last night as coach and cheerleader for my S/O who was finishing a paper for a refereed journal... He was up 48 hours straight before he completed it. It's not fun editing such a technically challenging article, but he was so touched that I stayed up and helped him with it. I'm learning that it's hard work getting a PhD, but that it doesn't feel like work to him...he loves it so much.
I've started to wonder if I can find any profession that I would love that much. I certainly find my work engaging...but I'm not in love with it in the same way. It's his reason for breathing...and that approach inspires me. Wonder what I'll be doing in 10 years...will I still be doing the same stuff I am now, or am I getting closer to a career change? Hmmm...
