I don't particularily care for Robin Williams but I can't argue with this...........(well, I could if I wanted to play devil's advocate). LOL!

A GREAT
PLAN

Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan... what we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.

Robin Williams' plan...........

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here's one plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. We will promise never to "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them. Wouldn't they?

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 day visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be
available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home, baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets lost or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little, anyway.

9 ) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. Use the vacated buildings as replacement for the twin towers.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

11) Speak English. Don't force your native language here. Why offend others from other countries that don't complain but are only too happy to be Americans.

Now...ain't that a winner of a plan?

Now that is a plan! Simple, easy to understand. No nonsense. I suspect by moving the UN, some of our less than avid allies who like playing leading roles, will enjoy the chance to pick up the tab.

I thought Robin Williams showed promise in "Good Morning Vietnam." :D :D

BTW, do you think Lilith would want to have illegal alliens spend time in her dungeon before they went home?

Robin Williams, always good for a laugh and some common sense. I say we get started on his plan right away.

Robin Williams is too "jumpy" for me! Believe it or not I liked him better in "The World According to Garp".

He was great in 'One Hour Photo', too!

Oh Yes Steph! I saw "the making" of that movie and it seemed to me that he finally calmed down. Then I saw the movie and it WAS good. Maybe it's maturity, but when he was younger he got on my one last nerve!

Do you think "Visiting a fellow Pixie" will be good enough for special permit ;) :D

I agree with what Robin Williams had to say as well.

BTW, this is STRICTLY through the grapevine; I've never read anything about it one way or another myself, but a close friend of mine who is manic depressive can tell you just about every person who is famous in one way or another who is also manic depressive. He told me a few years ago that Robin Williams is manic depressive. If that is the case, that may help to explain why he has always seemed to be a little hyper in his standup routines, TV interviews, and even films. Also, if that really is true, it shows just how good an actor he is, I think, because he doesn't always play roles like that. Plus, my heart goes out to him, because that is not an easy disease or condition to live with.

I watched a bit of the 'director's commentary' of it on the DVD the other day. Williams was also narrating and I was amazed at how calm he was. If you see him on Letterman, he's still acting crazy - unfortunately, it's probably expected of him.

I love his crazy rants but I can see how they would annoy people.

while I can see some of the humor in the "plan" I don't think that Robin Williams came up with it.

I agree axe, that our "native language isn't English. But I think you might have misunderstood the quote from #11...............

It says for (foreigners) to speak English (when they come to America).....and not force "their" native language on a country that is primarily an English speaking country.

Ok......I interpreted it...and paraphrased.......but that's the gist! LOL!

Oops! Thanks MilkToast.....for the correction. It WAS sent to me atributing RW with the entire quote........and at the end was the appendage quote as well.........which initially read: "Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses..........etc."

To that.....I made the correction (least ways I hope I corrected it properly)....."Give me your TIRED, your POOR, your huddled masses"...

*The red pencil of the school teacher rears it's ugly head*...LOL!
