As we all ponder what is to come of this awesome site..

Lets see what we all have to offer to keep it from happening...

Hosting a site of this magnitude is a huge job not only finacially but on time and tedious patience. It shouldn't lie on the shoulders of one individual.

If there was an option to move Pixies, or just volunteer ourselves to keep it alive....

Do you have an interest or special talent, to aid in the pursuit?

ie web design skills?
techie skillz?
gobs and gobs of money??
Bunches and bunches of time?
Huge adult server space?

Just a thought here from our early morning mouring session.

Would you be willing to contribute a small anonymous donation a month to help offset the cost of this site??

Please offer any comments or feedback....just to see what is out there.

I know there will be a huge response of people who want to keep it alive, but give it honest thought before replying, who knows if your offer may just be called upon ;)

As the saying goes..."It takes an entire village to raise a child right" or something like that :D

I am not very techie talented but would be willing to offer what I could, time- or money-wise, to keep this site going in some manner. Pixies has been a refuge for me so many times over the last seven months. I am struggling to imagine my life now without it or the friends I've made here.

I think hosting might be the biggest obstacle. Not a completely difficult one mind you, but you still have to find someone willing to SELL the server space and bandwidth, even if the site goes to messages only (that's still a LOT of messages!).

As much as I've wanted to get my own site going for the last few years, I've never taken the leap myself, so I really don't know what advice to offer.

I have the techie skills and more than happy to pitch in to help. Meanwhile, for this month I will have the time to help as well.

I'm techie illiterate, but happy to offer my stories and time to help with and/or edit others' stories... also willing to pay a fee (currently not able to pay a large one as I'm unemployed, but hope that changes soon!) :)

I would be willing to pay an annual fee. Unfortunately my techie skills etc are non-existent.

I would like to contribute in some way to show my gratitude to all the great members.

I have the techiie skills if needed to be able to do such a thing. I am not sure how much BW this site needs per month (and that is the big question when it comes to this type of thing) as well as storage.

Personally I would be more than happy to have a site like this one where only the discussion forums were around (no pics, sorry) and that would likely require a lot less BW than the current site.

I am currently looking at what hosting options are out there (I currently have (edit)25GB xfer/month and 150MB of space which I do not use) and am seeing what else there is that might be a solution. Any one else find anything good?

Other than that I would be willing to throw some monthly cashola at a site if it was set up like this one (the discussion forums that is).
