But not a drop for my freakin' shower:o

Don't you hate it when the utility company is fixing something and all of a sudden you lose power or water * kerpoof*??? Seems they should have to warn ya before they turn off a main.

Standing naked as a jaybird in my tub turning the damn spigot....... I never wanted a shower so bad as I do now, since I can't have one:p

Kind of like when you're on the couch with your S/O, things progressing along well...and the kids come home from a friend's house.

No, I have *no* idea what you're talking about. :D

LOL Lilith

When the pipes froze in our old house in March, I almost dreamed of water. Want to brush your teeth, wash dishes, do laundry, shower, wash your hands, fill the dog's bowl? It ain't happening! That was three days of hell, I tell you!

Gentlefolk,

It is interesting, is it not, how easily we take these luxuries of modern life for granted?

Be grateful you weren't about to rinse your hair?

Sorry....here's wishing you water soon!

Lil, if you have a big cauldron, I'll ship you some water to boil for your bath...or to cast spells, whatever the case may be. :D

TY! I called and no water til after 5. The good news is that they are cleaning my poisoned water mains but the bad news is I don't think I can wait another 4 + hours to pee :spin:

Lilith---Where we live, there is no city water. When there is a power outage, the pump in our well, can't even run.I keep reserve
(emergency)bottles,of water,in the back of the closets, for emergency toilet flushes, etc. When my daughters still lived home,
you have to have water, with 3 women in the house.Men will live
with a dirty toilet& piss outside, but women are too modest. You
have to use the old boy scout motto and"Be Prepared!" Irish
P.S.When I worked nights,I even rinsed off in our pool, when the
water quit. That wouldn't help much in the winter though!

Try going 9 days without power & water in the middle of winter.... major ice storms have a tendancy to do that.....

I would recommend that you drain the water out of your water heater, and any other water appliances prior to using it. The water is going to look nasty for a bit because of the gunk in the pipes.

It may be prudent to run a load of water through your washer too... some of the rust particles from the pipes that they were working on will work their way into your home plumbing.. and that will cause some really nasty looking laundry if you don't do that.....

Just some suggestions...... :D
