I remember seeing that a while back. Truthfully, if I were in her situation, I would have that guy tortured slowly. His penis would be sliced off in tiny 2 mm increments, and then quickly burn the cut to stop most bleeding. What I would do from there can only be guessed by hannibal lecter (Who cares if hes sorry for what he did). They left out one pic of her in a bathing suit (as perverted that might sound, it shows you how much she lost)..... gets you even more pissed off at the other bastard.

Thank you for the link, who.

I am speechless. That woman and her family are an inspiration - by going public, they have probably done an incredible amount of good by stopping people from drinking and driving.

Whilst I risk attack, I believe some of you are missing the message here.

The young man who caused these devastating injuries to a beautiful young woman would have agreed to take part in this campaign in order to demonstrate his remorse for what he had caused.

A couple of beers would probably not have made him an illegal driver in the UK, and the message is clear that you should not take any alcohol, not because it impairs your stopping tme in this instance, the impact seems such that the reaction time lost would not have stopped an accident. Rather the decision to drive in the first place and clearly at inappropriate speeds for an inexperienced driver.

Please don't advocate torturing people who have made dreadful mistakes for which they feel remorse, the world is full of people who feel absolutely no remorse and casue many fold more suffering with impunity.

And please, don't drink and drive.

Well said, Vigil. The look on that guy's face showed the torture he lives through every day. I know her life is hard but he was a stupid teen and is regretting it every day.

If anyone else has any doubts, PM me and I'll gladly tell you about the 14 month old baby that died in my arms because her mother drove drunk. I'll also let you know about the recurrant nightmares I have because of it. If for no other reason, don't make another police officer have to deal with something like that just because you "thought you were sober". Please.

I know, secondhand (because it was a friend and not me) about accidents in which the car bursts into flames and in a few seconds.... totally changes many, many lives!

The friend I had (he's dead now....but not from the accident) was the drunk driver......and he hit the back end of a Ford Pinto (I've told this story before). The driver of the Pinto wasn't hurt badly.......but it was the luck of the draw in this case. My friend, too, was burned beyond recognition. Tears sprang to my eyes when I saw those pictures of that young lady! If I hadn't read that this was a girl..........I would have thought I was looking at Mickey......my friend.....a male! He had such similar injuries and my heart bled for him all over again!

Causing the anguish or living with the guilt.....who's to say which is the lesser of the two unless we've walked in those shoes!

Let's just make a deal.......to never walk in those shoes if WE can prevent it!

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!! It's that simple!
