View Full Version : Living Life to the fullest?
I assume everyone is familar with the line on a person's profile that states, "in my spare time I live life to the fullest!" Well, what does that mean? I am asking yall to share your ways of soaking in and using up all your lives have to offer. In my opinion, living life to its fullest entails not accepting uninteresting moments when the option of 'interesting' is available. Sometimes I will be sitting in my office, drinking coffee, and just to make things more interesting I put my testicles in a vice. Just kidding, or AM I....

Funny thing, when I am sitting in my office, drinking coffee, I also think about putting your testicles in a vice:o:D:p
I think it's about risk taking and living in the present. I also think if you are waiting to live life to the fullest "in your spare time" then you have missed the boat entirely!

I don’t interpret “Living Life to the fullest” as meaning I should stick my tit in the wringer. That’ll happen by itself. Your job is to keep it out.:)
I think you may want to be watching for “opportunity” to get the most from life. Even when it doesn’t materialize as you may have envisioned, it usually will take you to another one. A full life will look different at different points. Don’t be afraid to move ahead, stop and taste the panties along the way and just don’t take the sucker bet.;)
I’m sure you will someday understand “Too soon old. Too late smart.”

Living life to the fullest...
I tend to work hard, play hard...and try to get every spare moment out of life. For me, that means never being afraid to experience something new, loving people as frequently as possible (not necessarily in a sexual way) and doing the things that you might regret later. I believe in taking risks, seeing the best in people, working hard at your job, being the best you can be as an individual.
Some days I fall short of my goals, but I just pick up and keep on trying.

Living life to the fullest . . . you have to have goals, ambitions . . . you don't want to be 80 (or PF's age :) ) and realize you didn't work your ass off for what you wanted!

To the fullest, to me, means living consciously. Not just taking every risk and looking for opportunities to experience the new and different (although that's definately part of it)....but also being able to gear down, and be aware of the simple pleasure of sitting quietly in the garden with a cool drink or the wonders of a hot shower.
I think everyone lives a life full of interest, beauty, and opportunities for adventure. I just think that, tragically, not everyone realizes it..or have the self-confidence to take advantage of it.

Missing the point, folks.
"The fullest" is an intensely personal thing, and what it means to
me is not waking up on my final day here on Earth and saying to
myself "God I wish I'd..."
Be true to your wishes and ideals and the question becomes meaningless.

I think to me its about not afraid to put limits on things so as to try everything at least once (save somethings such as drugs). Also not getting caught up in the routine of life so much that I cant be spontanious or be ready to go ro do soemthing in an instant. :)

I am really enjoying these responses, I feel like I am in Philosophy class again. The consensus seems to be follow personal paths to happiness. Oh, and LILITH, I thought i felt my testicles burning the other day. Or did I just spill coffee on them...or was it the numerous stds...the world may never know (until i give them crabs, i mean a cup of coffee).

To me,"Living life to the fullest"is being satisfied with the person that looks back,at me from the mirror.I have made many mistakes in life! That's water over the dam!All that I can do is to try to be better. You also have to realise that all that one can do is
their best. That& tightening Omens vice handle! Irish

Almost missed this thread omen! Could be indicative of my forthcoming answer............
"Living life to it's fullest"............Realizing what I've nearly missed and making up for it, at times to the point of overcompensation!
That responsibility.....in and of itself....leaves me little time to feel as though I've ever actually missed out on anything! Ergo.....I am fulfilled........till the next time I discover I've nearly missed out on something!
*Sorry.....but that makes plenty of sense in my head! I might be alone in that fact though...LOL!*
