I have an Umbrella that I brought in Shanghai look like that umbrella in the picture. I used it in China. When I bring it here to Canada. I afraid of using it. I afraid I might look weird in public.

this umbrella can cover sun UVA/UVB and rain at the same time

but do you think I will look weird in North America by carring those umbrellas ???

I would look ridiculous carrying one of those. You will look fine.

Have you seen the way some people dress? There's kids with their pants around their ankles and metal spikes sticking out of every part of their body! You and your authentic asian umbrella won't even make people bat an eye.

I think they are lovely and part of your cultural heritage. You should use it. I think it's quiant for a lady to use a parasol.

I think it's lovely! And I wouldn't be at all surprised if the only thing people thought about it was that they wished they could find one ;).

Definately carry it. Beautiful things should never be hidden.

oh thank you

I think I should carry it next time when the sun is above.

It is just a bit weird that people don't carry it, and i look strange in the public.

I have a few things that i brought from asia and then i wear it so many people look at me. but anyway for clothes i don't mind. coz i am a big fan on fashion

have you guys ever saw some asian girl wear those half legs from bottom up half legs pants??? that looks so weird but i brought it in Shanghai and I seldom wear it, and so many people look at me, they said interesting pants. It is just a half of the leg instead of the top down this is from the bottom up and cut of the top part. just cover your bottom legs. I have it in white and in black colour with 2 hello kitty at the side. look very cute when you wear it, look like school girl with short skirt on.

the pants look a bit like this picture

Leg warmers ~ Oh my *giggles* i used to wear them years ago...had heaps of em in all different colours!!

We have a lot of Asian tourists here...and yes...most wear leg warmers...the only time i thought "eek" that looks odd...was one young Asian lady was all decked out in white and pink...and it all had 'Barbie' stuff all over it...and she came complete with a kids plastic 'Barbie' backpack...to me she was dressing like a 5 yr old and it made me uncomfortable....but hey she was obviously happy *LOL*

But a majority of time i really dont care what ppl wear....we are all individuals

:p Actualy I probably still have some around. I had lots of colors too. They were very popular, but I used to wear them for dance class a lot too. :D those were the days

Crazy Goths at work are wearing leg warmers again.

Come to Toronto, CP. There's a huge Asian population here and I always see Asian women carrying parasols in the summer.
