Damn Irish, thanks for the buzzkill! ha ha

Once, a couple of years ago, I heard the doorbell ring and ran to the door while talking the whole way. We usually leave our front door open, and when I came around the corner I saw our neighbor standing in our mudroom. I was suprised to see him and said "Oh sorry, I thought you were someone else." to which he replied "I used to be."

Truer words were never spoken!

Nothing makes you more aware of your age than to see a pretty young thing somewhere and find out you remember her Mom or Dad from school.... several years BEHIND you.

BigBear57---Don't laugh,that has happened to me,at a marina
& at an auto parts warehouse.I went to another auto parts ware-
house. An aquaintence of mine was there. His father was visiting
him.It turned out that his father, was on my work crew,at a Work
Boat manufacturer.I had smoked pot with his father, when we were"sea trialing"a newly built boat & never realised that they were related!Needless to say,I didn't tell him ANYTHING that his
father & I had done together! Irish
P.S.When we finished a boat,we took it on a maiden voyage to
check the shaft bearings, etc. These voyages were called "Sea Trials."

Oh Irish, I'm not laughing. It's definitely happened to me and in an oh so not funny way. I was almost flirting with a beauty in the grocery one day and after a few smiles and glances between us I walked into an old friend I hadn't seen in years. We talked and I almost choked when the beauty came up and hugged him and asked "Daddy can we get some ice creme with the movies?"
