I heard,on the news,last night,that Austalia has commited another 4?? troops,
to Iraq!Their PM said that it,probably,wouldn't be his most popular decision,
but he thought that it was the right thing to do.In MY OPINION,it was.

I'll just be glad when the need is no longer there for any of us to have to put at risk the lives our young men and women.

Ok, I'll probably get done for this, but on the news here tonight, I heard that the PM won't be committing anymore troops after this. He's been under a lot of pressure coz us (public) don't think that it is our fight to be involved in. I do understand the need for the world to be safe and a peacekeeping force in place.

Geographically it's a pain in the ass for us (australia) to get up to the middle east or wherever. The US and UK are much closer than we are. Now I don't wish to get into a politcal discussion over this, but it seems to me that from where we are, we are kind of like the third wheel. Now I do realise that if we ever came under threat, the US and UK would be here in no time. So the hand shake is returned.

Australia is sending 400 to replace the 1500 Dutch that are being pulled out. Goes to show 1 Aussie is worth 4 Dutch. They will be guarding a Jap sapper reg. I would think more will go once the US moves on Iran.

the world would be a safer place if the only superpower, just calmed down and try to work out there problems with dissuction(SP) And i know this will be deeply unpopuarl but America has just made the world a worse place for everyone By there actions in Iraq...................

Now where's my soap box i need to go home!

America didnt do all this on its own....They are trying to do good regaardless of what others think

The world was never a good place and hadnt been for some time....bout time someone took a stand and tried to make it better instead of sitting on either the fence or their bloody hands and complaining about it

When I started,this thread,it was STRICTLY to thank the Australians.I said,
in another thread,that I would avoid ALL posts,that people would have differing opinions on.To quote,an old saying-Opinions are like assholes-Every

thanks to anyone who really has the balls not the countries who were trading oil for money weapons etc. france , germany , russia can kiss my stinky one france and germany wouldn't even be if it were not for the americans and allies ussr took their ball and went home leaving a wall between now thats gone soooooooooooooooooo don't get pissed irish this is free speech love it and thanks for letting me say what i feel :rant:
