Hi guys and gals ^^

I'm in need of some advice... what do you get someone who is turning 24? I'm at a loss ^^" and he's no help lol. Doesn't necessarily have to be something he could physically take home with him (like me in a suitcase... cept I dont think I'd fit... just barely too tall lol). But any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated ^^ Only requirement is that it's something he'll remember for a long time to come

Music is always a good gift. Is there a concert coming to your area? Maybe offer a road trip to one.

I gotta go with something I saw in the Movie Fried Greem Tomatoes, meet him at the door wrapped in nothing but cling wrap........don't know if it would work but he'd remember it. But I know if I tried to do that it would cause a national shortage.

dreamgurl - That's hilarious! I'm pretty sure he would remember that, but unfortunately it's not feasible -pouts- I still live at home and I'm sure my Mom and my brother wouldn't appreciate seeing that.

Lilith - Well, we're going away for the week of my birthday, and his is right near mine, so I was hoping maybe there would be something I could do for him while we were camping. But as far as music goes, we dont seem to agree on it lol. I'm not allowed to touch the cd player in his car because I like some of NSYNC and Backstreet Boy's suff. Hehe.

Maddy - He's a big gamer =D One of the best things about him. And I'm sure if he ever reads this I'm going to get poked lol. He's also very into sports (football and hockey for sure... I think baseball too). I'm just stuck for an idea because I dont have a lot of money (and he keeps telling me there's only one thing he wants... but if you give someone something they already have, isn't that considered re-gifting? lol) and I want it to be something memorable, which is why I say it doesn't have to be something he can pick up and take home.

Take him to a game... or if that's out of the budget... make him a nice meal of game day appetizers and spend time with him watching the game of his choice... or if he has a favorite team... i'd suggest making him a blanket... something that goes a long way on cold nights and he'd appreciate that you made it just for him... (see my Cowboy's Fan? thread for an example) - and perhaps some pictures of you in the blanket as part of the gift would go a long way.

I would... but we're not from the same city and we'll be camping during the time he's here. The appetizers thing sounds kinda fun, but I don't think he would appreciate being locked in a tent while I made them lol. I like the blanket idea though ^^ I'll definetly look into that one =) thanks!

I saw a shop here a few weeks ago that'll photo-etch a picture on a keyring or pendant.

There's bound to be something like that not too far from you.

This year I am buying everyone that works for me a book. That might be an idea.

If the budget supports the idea - go to one of those places that take glamor shots and take a very sexy photo of yourself all "dolled up" That's something he'll appreciate for sure

Oldfart - I think that's a little too close to something a girlfriend would buy for her boyfriend. We're very very close friends, but we're not dating. It's a cute idea though =^.^= and there's a place over at the mall that does it too. Darn >_<

bare4you - he likes reading, so that defintely might be an idea. Now to figure out what books he has lol. Unfortunately budget doesn't see that fitting in its pocket >< which sucks because that's a neat idea.

Lol. My fault, I should have been more clear. We're not dating, buuut I guess you would call us very close friends 'with benefits' (even though I hate that phrase ><). No need for apologies though =)

Lol. His birthday isn't for a while. It's close to mine so I have a bit of time (hehe that rhymes =D). I just wanted to get some ideas since he's insisting that he doesn't have any input lol.

So until about february I'll be taking suggestions ^^ And of course I'll let you guys know what I got him.

Yes! He loves golfing ^^

OK...there are a number of on-line golf stores. I like www.golfgalaxy.com but there's others as well.

Pretty much everything and anything golf can be found there....including clothing...in whatever price range you have.

Let me know if you need any help. :)
