I'll probably appear to be a bitter old man making two posts in a row on this thread..... oh well I'm a bitter old man then.
I finally had a much needed incredible night's sleep last night so I woke up feeling very refreshed. Was sitting here with my cup of mint tea sending off my morning PM to a friend when I hear something outside. "FUCK ME!!!" it was the garbage truck. I was in no state of dress to go running out after him with my garbage so it appears as if it gets to sit in the basement getting all stinky for another week. Damn time change.
My own fault I guess for going to bed really early last night and not taking it out then.

"What a waste" being said about Katie Melua being gay. If it had been a guy who said it I could almost understand (them suggesting that they have lost any chance of being with her, if you know what I mean) but it was a woman who said it. I hate that.
Then, that same disagreeable person brought a mop and bucket to clear away some urine in the room i was cleaning the sink in. She asked whether she had the right coloured bucket. I said no, that one is for the kitchen floors. She then proceded to carry on and mop it up anyway, and mop all the way to the door so that I had to walk over it in order to leave the room. She isn't even doing it to be spiteful, she is really just that ignorant.

I've got a women's college basketball tuned in on the TV and an ESPN announcer just pissed me off royally. A girl just came into the game for Bowling Green St. Univ. and she's a larger girl. The moron announcer says, "You wouldn't think she'd be much of an athlete just by looking at her. At 230 lbs......... "
It was right then that I just screamed, "FUCK YOU BUDDY!!!!" at the TV. Not sure who the guy is, the voice sounds very familiar to me, but they should fire his ass at halftime of the telecast.
The announcer is Mike Patrick, one of ESPN's supposed best play-by-play guys. Dammit, that comment pissed me off!!!:mad::mad:

Not going to get started on the mop 'n' bucket part, other than to understand why you felt like that but...
Katie Melua is GAY?! I had no idea! I can't believe my (usually finely tuned) GAY-dar didn't pick up on it. I can usually spot a lesbian a mile off, due to the fact that I always fancy them! Ha ha ha! I'm sure she used to have a boyfriend....was that just a cover story, d'you think? Or maybe she's only just found out herself. Oh well, far from a waste....now I'm going to see her in a whole new light! :hot:

The f'ing woodpecker is back. We have a resident woodpecker that does his thing on the neighbors metal chimney for the fireplace. It sounds like a jackhammer. I swear to someone I'd like to invest in a BB gun and show the bird that he's not welcome on our rooftop.
Have I mentioned that I'm not a fan of birds at all - all the chirping and squaking early in the morning disturbing my slumber? This woodpecker is just over the top though. So much for my late morning nap.

Then being told that they didn't need me and not to hold my breath on being called back. Then having to sit through a sob story about how tough it is for them. How they had been nice enough to keep my insurance going for the past three months (which I did use so it realy didn't do me any good). How much of an expence that was to them but wouldn't be able to do any more.
Now I've wasted half the time of my unemployment waiting for a job that I most likely won't be going back to. When I could have been out there looking for a new one.

B. Full-time. Has average amount of work to do today. First day back after a month of Annual Leave.
C. Relief. Works 2-3 days a week, has been on extra the last week and is on 4 days this week. Also has average amount of work today.
An opportunity comes up for one of them to accompany some other staff and residents on a trip out that will be very relaxing and fun. The employee who goes on the trip will have their workload divided between the two remaining employees.

I politely told him I would stick with what the doctors have me doing since it has gotten me thru 39 years. He told me that I don't know anything about the disease and that I am stupid and will die if I don't listen to what he has to tell me about it. Once again, I was polite and told him I wasn't interested but he then poked me in the chest with his finger and told me, "Look, I know more about it than you do. You are going to die if you don't take my seminar!" Well, that's when I grabbed his arm and pushed his ass right out the door and told him to get the fuck out of my house.
He tried to get back in and I yelled at him to get the hell off my property. That's when my contractors came over to him and escorted him to his truck.

A baby who won't stop crying and whingeing this morning
The fact that I'm expected to check my mother's bank account and go half an hour accross town every day to check her mail on the off-chance that my pathetic excuse for an ex step-father might have paid her the money he owes her while she's on holiday. And the fact that, since it hasn't yet shown up, I've had to call her solicitor to get them to chase it on her behalf, call her bank to find out why I can no longer get access to her online banking and then relay all this back to her via text message.
The fact that all of the above means I'm still not dressed and my window of opportunity is now gone until midday. I wanted to go shopping this morning - now I won't be able to go at all today.
The throbbing headache I've got - probably as a result of all of the above.

My Mum, whose words of advice all in one conversation (regarding my streaming cold) were:
'Oh poor you, make a bed on the sofa and do as little as possible.....you've got so much washing to do, work through your cold and sort the house out.....refuse to make FussyPucker supper until he's mown the front lawn....just get on with it, you're a mother you've got responsibilities, you can't expect your husband to help you even when you're ill.'
Nice lot of mixed messages there Mum, thanks for your advice.

At the Dept of Safety today, getting #2 son his learner's permit...as if the wait wasn't bad enough, some rich b***h holds up the line for an extra half hour, because she didn't feel she should have to pay because her daughter failed the knowlege test...
Y'know, it only takes one person like her to change a light bulb...she just holds the bulb & waits for the world to revolve around her... :banghead:

Finding out a favorite State Park (Mackinaw River Fish and WIldlife Area) isn't getting maintained anymore.
State squanders tons of money on crap and lets more than 2,000 acres of beautiful parkland go down the tubes.
Maybe if our Governor and the legislators in Springfield put less in their pockets we could keep the state's natural treasures looking beautiful.
I kept thinking most of the spring that I must be missing the days when the ranger does maintenance but it's become apparent ... there's been no maintenance all this spring and summer. Talked to a local and they indicated the state has dropped the day long staffing of the park. Trails have become overgrown, parking areas becoming weed covered, and, the ranger staffing the park now only shows up once a week to make sure it's still there or something. .

Just realized a few minutes ago that I hadn't changed my desk calendar from June to July when I got back home and I have now scheduled conflicting events for the weekend of the 21st.
