Tonight I started a week-long hunter safety course with my 14 year old son so that he will be able to hunt with my brother, (I offered to let my ex husband take our son, but he was too busy...one of the reasons we are no longer married). I don't particularly care for hunting, I know it's a necessary evil, but I'm such an animal lover I just can't imagine killing one. There were about 75 people there and I found myself picking out 2 or 3 nice looking, rugged men and having a little fantasy time while the class was going on. I'm definitely glad I don't have to pass a test on this stuff like my son does, cause I'm telling you it wouldn't be possible. NOWWWWWWWWW, if they wanted to test me on some of the attributes of the men I was looking over, that I could pass! :roflmao:

The main speaker, who happens to be around 70 years old, was showing some type of gun lock that they would be handing out to those who passed the course. He walked over to the table I was sitting at and handed me one, telling me it was mine for smiling at him..... :D My son wanted to know if he could have it and I told him he had to earn his own, I had earned this one..:roflmao:

Who knew a hunting course could be so interesting? lol

BTW -- I once took a class sponsored by the NRA that was a women's self defense class. I think it was in Blountville...or somewhere close.

I learned I didn't like guns, but it was a fun 4 hours learning how to shoot.

I think I can dig up the info if you're interested.

Osuche....I actually work in Blountville :)....I told my brother that I wanted to learn how to shoot and he promised to teach me. I'm not crazy about guns, but I would rather know how to shoot one than not.

Tonight was the second class and not near as much fun, Coaster must have been absent tonight dammit! lol

SD...I don't know if he understands, but I know I'm making memories with my son that his father will never have and it's sad that one day (maybe) his dad will regret all the time he has lost.

Oh...good for you TT! It's a shame the dad is missing out on this but as you said you are making memories.
