Is it really necessary for my car insurance to MORE than double just because my kid gets his license????????????????????????????????????????????????
Do all insurance companies do insurance by household? They will not insure him for only 1 car, the cheap ass PIP car I let him drive. Nooooooooooooooooooooo. He has to be included on the 2 cars with liens???? The ones he can't drive because 1 is a stick and the other is MINE:D
Sorry but I feel as if I am taking it up the ass with no lube.
Is there a cheaper way???

I volunteer for the sacrificial flogging. Got a whole bunch of pain pills I don't plan on using......... maybe that would change my mind.
My sister is going thru the same thing with my niece right now. They use American Family Insurance but I'm not sure if they are getting the dry screwing or not.

Lilith,
Join the crowd. :( One boy and one girl here, with a distressingly similar experience to yours and jay-t's.
The statistics are depressing.

We went the same way as gekkogecko, they paid the increase in the insurance.

Eek....Glad i dont live over there *L*
As i understand it...
Here we nominate that the car will be driven by an under 25. Insurance is more expensive on the car while the under 25 stipulation is on it. I was never allowed to drive my Dads car *LOL* as he didnt have that stipulation.

I called around today. My state does not require household covereage. Its just Progressive fucking me around. I found out with another insurer we could do all 3 cars with specific peeps driving each and my insurance actually went down from what it is now without kiddo.

Something else to check into...here you can get a discount for grades and also if they take the driver's ed class.

right. Here too. He didn't take Driver's Ed and the grades depend on if they want weighted or unweighted.
