I was glad to be inside late last night when the wind came through sounding like a freight train and the rain came down like a dam had burst. That was the bad news coming as it did after receiving 3.5" just a couple of days ago. :(

That sounds like you had a helluva evening! I'm guessing the Good News is that we didn't have anything like that down here, just the summertime heat and humidity.

Fortunately, no damage at our house. Saw a lot of tree limbs (4"-5" limbs) down around town but our trees stayed tough. The bad news is that it'll take a few days to get things all cleaned up.

The good news is the down-under folks will be getting longer days from now on this year.

The bad news is that means they'll get more sunshine and it'll start to dry things out. :(

The good news is that with more sunshine, they'll get more tourists to visit and spend money. :)
