I confess that I spent money today!!! I got us a new kitchen table & chairs (well, new-to-us, anyway :p ) and I bought myself a wine-making bucket and carboy, and a 72-bottle wine rack.

I haven't heard of "a wine-making bucket" before. Is this an Acadian thing, or just something that bypassed Oz?

pinkFlames 05-24-2010 08:00 PM

As wine is cheaper than water, I don't see any market for a "wine-making bucket" over here.

Neige 05-24-2010 08:07 PM

Well I admit I don't know much about making wine yet, but from what I understand, you start the kit in the bucket, before using the carboy. I'm looking forward to making wine from scratch as well as from kits!

Neige 05-24-2010 08:28 PM

It's much cheaper to make wine here than to buy it. My parents have been making it for years.

Tonight we are playing Munchkin and my drink of choice is the Bloody Mary :D

PantyFanatic 05-28-2010 06:42 PM

I suddenly have a taste for lamb. I'm going to get a gyro tonight. :car:

Neige 05-28-2010 06:43 PM

Mind you, I don't think that the donairs we got are actual lamb. I'd guess beef.

Oldfart 05-28-2010 07:40 PM

Some food authorities don't limit Kebab to lamb, allowing chicken and beef as well.

Fangtasia 05-28-2010 09:25 PM
