I went into work today to find out that in the middle of the week, someone had brought in an entire family of hatchling box turtles (disturbed nest, there were 6 hatchlings). Nothing else wrong with them, so we were able to release them. Of course that doesn't mean that predators won't get them or a renewed cold snap won't kill them, but hey, at least we did get to release them.

If there's anything cuter than a baby turtle, it's an entire family of baby turtles.

For any of you with a classical education in the British childhood stories, this brought back memories. BIBI?

Is that by any chance a Mary Poppins reference? I remember in the movie them having tea on the ceiling....

yes, the tea party in Mary Poppins with Uncle Albert.....

Oldfart 04-13-2014 04:16 AM

No, Enid Blyton wrote a couple of books about a magical flying chair which took some children on adventures.

BIBI 04-13-2014 09:16 AM

omg....how could I forget about her books

She also wrote the Noddy character adventures and I loved Noddy!

Half a bottle of port and some stale crackers.

This is our storage shed, waiting for Chateau Oldfart to be built.
