A successful migration from development into test.

The hubby and I were enjoying a marital frolic at the hotel we're staying at while the house is fixed up post-fuego, and after, during the dismount, I rolled right off the edge of the queen-sized bed. We're used to a king. :)

Had to smile a broad thank you for all the good wishes for our anniversary. Had a great day. Nothing really fancy ... breakfast out and lunch with our kids ... but was it was great. Thanks again!

And, OF, you're right. She really does deserve a medal. She's got the sainthood thing locked up! :D

Moving back home from the hotel, and the prospect of sleeping in my own bed tonight!

The cleanup is done, and the house habitable. The reconstruction stage, which involves several cabinets being sanded down, and probably all of them being repainted, and possibly new countertops, will take a little longer, but there's no reason we can't be in the house while that's happening.

The fire damage was localized to over the stove; the rest was just smoke and soot they had to cleanup in the adjoining 4 rooms. (The laundry is my problem, and it's taking several washes with vinegar to get the smell out. I'll be at it for a week, I'm guessing.)

Well, that's what insurance is for.
