Now dearie, sit here on the office stool while I dig out this crayon colouring book called "You and your Fertility Choices".
|
Gigi, I'm well aware of the possibilities of a woman in her late 30's-40's getting pregnant, but wasn't sure if the miracles of medical science had made it any safer. You just confirmed that it hasn't.
Just remember if you break it you buy it..........that goes for us Pixie guys as well as the furniture ;) |
Gigi, don't let her get to you. I suspect she was just trying to advise and wasn't making a moral judgment. (I know, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.)
But, in any case, it's not for her or anyone to make judgments. Decisions like that are yours and yours alone. By the way, my wife conceived our youngest when she was 42, so, it does happen. |
Yes it does happen. What I didn't know is that after 35 it is called a geriatric pregnancy by the medical world. One of my friends said she would knock her doctor out if he said it to her again.
Maybe she was trying to advise. But she made the assumption that I wanted a baby at all. That is what bothered me most... |
“geriatric pregnancy”? That’s an interesting, if somewhat insensitive term. I wonder what the bell curve for this looks like?

Anyone heard from PF? I got some damn monkeys for him and he no answer PM.
|
Just talked to him today and saw some posts from him today, also. I think he's just busy.
Darn, I should have asked about the monkeys but it slipped my mind. :( |
I re-read gigi's post on her doctor's attitude, and I realised that it was just an anti-litigation ploy in case she decided to have that kid she always wanted, couldn't, and decided to sue the quack who implanted the IUD. Or she was a lifist asshole.
|
HAHAHA PF gets monkeys in the mail later this week!!!!!!!
|
I heard some dude in Ohio got arrested for locking young women up in his house. Any body heard from PF?
|
The dude was 57, about a hundred years too young.
|
Grabing a beer and checking out! Chow!

Ciao, SDLS.

HI!!!!!!! |
Today's The Day!!!
![]() Can't believe it's been that long. Seems like only yesterday. No doubt, the best decision of my life was marrying my wife. Also no doubt, it's gotten better with every passing year! |
It cannot possibly be 50 years. I have met your delightful young wife and the maths doesn't stack up. :)
|
dicksbro,
Congratulations sir! :wine: |
:grope:
|
Thanks, people. Had a great day. Not a lot of partying ... that'll be this next Friday when we have the bottom deck of the Spirit of Peoria riverboat rented for a moonlight cruise with about 100 friends and family. Went to the movies the day before to see the new Monsters University. Very cute. Never-the-less, we still had fun and it was a good day. This morning, we're going to renew our wedding vows at the 8AM service at our church.
It's been a special time for us and I thank you for your good wishes. Wish you were all nearby cuz' you'd be on the list for the cruise. :) Love ya' all! |
I WANT A SlUSHYWHIP!!
|
Lil? Do you have a slushywhip for Soda?
|
I hope that the HotShot fire crew lost in AZ went quickly. The worst fears of 19 families were realised. The 20th crew member, I've heard no news yet. Bad things happen to good people.
|
I read he was moving the truck. It is such a sad sad thing.
|
Survivor guilt by the mountain-load. He'll always face the question of whether he was running away.

Good Morning to the Pixies at PAGAN 13
:sun: GOOD MORNING! :sun: ![]() |
He ^^^ said it first, but I said it with more feeling.:)
|
We toured the schoolhouse and then slapped some corn, potato packets, brats, and burgers on the grill, and nomnomnomnomnom :) we stayed up to nearly 1am local time chatting.
So far everyone seems to be enjoying themselves :) Wish you were here! :) |
You blew it!!! :trout:
Yep, you all blew it big time. All the Pixies that didn't make it to this gathering is missing a really fun time and at the most unusual place you can possibly stay at. Pics (to come later) of a super neat home hosted by super neat Pixies. So there! :clown: |
It's past my bedtime, but, I figure you guys are eating or ... something ... :D.
It was good talking to you on the phone ... sleep tight and don't let the mosquitos bite. Tell Soda that she'll have to get well and get over there since were not there. She'll have to eat all our meals plus hers. :) DB PS ... take a long distance hug from Mrs. DB and I. |
Soda made it here!
This PAGAN was a little less of sight seeing as we are pretty much surrounded by corn and soybeans, but more focused on relaxing and enjoying each other's company and conversation. We ended up skipping the touristy stuff and just stayed in. I think that was to PF's liking as he seems amazed at our home. That, and Lilith's dungeon is in PF's closet... |
PF's in the closet?
|
Why does "The Cask of Amontillado" come to mind?
|
Good story, but I think Pit and the Pendulum might be more accurate.

I think that's called wishing. |

When is job security NOT a good thing?
When after a short vacation your the first week of your 'part-time' job is 64 hours. I swear they not only left everything that required attention for me but they had to take machinery apart to create new problems.:banghead: I'm too old for this .................... and it's NOT my company. :hair: |
