Watching Top Gear on BBCA. I love this show.

Top Gear is fabulous. They are so politically incorrect.

Sorting out some slips of paper that have been collecting for far too long.

Only in Australia - over here, they are the epitome of moral and social rectitude! ;)

Excellent. It's ok to cry. You are doing one of the hardest things to do!

Prepare to be ragged for the best part of a week, then suddenly you'll be asking "why".

Preparing to go out to the pub for the first "State of Origin" bout.

Waiting for 10 minutes before I turn the oven down from 230C to 180C. Half an hour later, the bread will be ready. Yum yum yum!

Hang in there, Tigerlily78! When I finally managed to kick the weed (18 years ago now) I found that the first two weeks were the hardest. Then suddenly one morning I discovered I didn't want a cigarette, and wondered what the big deal was. I realise two weeks seems like an eternity from where you're sitting right now, but you'll do it! I expect you know that the chemical addiction can be beaten in a day or two - the stuff we crave is cleared from the bloodstream quite quickly. The emotional attachment can take longer...

(If it helps you to PM me once a day to tell me how awful you feel and what an arsehole I am, feel free!)

Getting ready for my Wednesday morning meeting and thinking of Tigerlily78 quitting smoking. Thoughts are with you, Tigerlily!!

I'd smoked for over thirty years when I quit back in 1997. Like GusAspar said; you'll reach a point where you'll wonder what the big deal was! Just hang in there!
