dicksbro 03-25-2020 12:26 AM

The bad news is that sometimes "dream worlds" aren't so bad.

gekkogecko 03-25-2020 06:30 AM

The good news is, frequently, escapism for a little while, helps your outlook in general.

gekkogecko 03-27-2020 09:40 AM

The bad news is you can get lost in your own escapism.

Goofy 03-28-2020 04:14 AM

Good news is dat da' family gettin' more time to be togetter. Dat be a plus.

gekkogecko 03-28-2020 12:33 PM

The bad news is the ranty uncle boor you now have to spend more time with.

dicksbro 03-29-2020 03:02 AM

The good news is that we've got two of our sons at home and two others that have stopped by to check on us and offer to pick up anything we might need.

Haven't seen our daughters (2 of 3 live out of state), but we have talked to them on the phone and my wife stays in contact on Facebook.

gekkogecko 03-29-2020 10:22 AM

The bad news is...well, I'm nnot gonna shit all over your parade. Stay safe, DB.

dicksbro 03-30-2020 04:36 AM

Thanks, gg, you too.

The good news is that … it's going to be warmer and sunny here today. That is something good, isn't it.

gekkogecko 03-30-2020 06:34 AM

The bad news is,t eh warmer weather is likely to do nothing at all to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

dicksbro 03-31-2020 03:48 AM

The good news is that with China and others starting to see the virus easing off a bit, maybe we'll soon follow. Hope so anyway.

gekkogecko 03-31-2020 06:07 AM

The bad news is, as of 2000 last night, Maryland is officially on lockdown. You can go out for 'essential' things, and that includes things like physical or mental health, but do so alone, or in a small family group. Absolutely no gathering in groups of more than 10, and even that number isa problem.

dicksbro 04-02-2020 03:51 AM

Same is true here. Good news is that to accommodate the higher risk groups (like seniors) stores are offering morning shopping times (an hour or two depending on the store) for "seniors only." Fast food places have drive thru window service only. Even medical facilities (like Prompt Care facilities) have limited staffing and serve only emergency cases or appointment only cases. Roads are definitely seeing lower traffic levels. So, while inconvenient, we're getting by without too much difficulty. It will be nice to see this over with, that's for sure.

gekkogecko 04-02-2020 06:22 AM

The bad news is that "over with" could be years, literally. The flu pandemic that started in 1918 (I hate calling it the "Spanish" flu, it started in the US, and spread from there) lasted 2-3 years.

Goofy 04-02-2020 11:33 PM

I shore hate thinkin' dat culd be happen'in dis time. Maybe we get sum good news n' it be ober with sum time dis year.

dicksbro 04-07-2020 02:41 AM

I'm with you, Goofy, but the bad news is that we could be wrong. :(

gekkogecko 04-07-2020 06:04 AM

The good news is, we still have hard-working health care workers who are doing their jobs (and sometimes, putting their lives on the line for it).

Goofy 04-07-2020 09:50 PM

Dat fer shore. Gotta takes our hats off to dem folks and to all whose been tryin' to be of help! Da bad ol' news is dat dey gotta be wearin' out from all they been asked to do.

gekkogecko 04-08-2020 06:33 AM

The good news is, medical schools are helping the situation by graduating students early.

dicksbro 04-09-2020 02:05 AM

The bad news is that they're entering a profession that today is a fairly high risk one.

gekkogecko 04-09-2020 06:49 AM

The good news is, that hasn't' seemed to have stopped anyone.
 for their efforts.

dicksbro 04-09-2020 11:32 PM

I'll toast to that as well.

Guess the only bad news is the continuing Coronavirus thing. Be glad when that starts to subside. I do think that when it does, we'll see the economy "leap" back from the doldrums it's in now. Hopefully, anyway.

Goofy 04-10-2020 01:28 PM

Da gud news, db, is dat dey are sayin' dey tink da US maybe will turn da corner by May. Dat wud be gud if it happen.

gekkogecko 04-11-2020 10:11 AM

The bad news is, 'turn the corner' doesn't mean 'everything is ok'.

dicksbro 04-12-2020 12:02 AM

The good news could be that at least it's a start in the right direction. (We can hope anyway)

gekkogecko 04-12-2020 09:50 AM

The bad news is, we still don't have a vaccine.

dicksbro 04-13-2020 01:47 AM

The good news is that maybe companies have learned that putting all their eggs in a Chinese basket wasn't such a good idea.

gekkogecko 04-13-2020 05:59 AM

The bad news is, I doubt anyone has learned anything.

Goofy 04-13-2020 09:09 PM

Bad news cud be if yuz rite, gg.

Oopsy. I spose to give gud news. Gud news cud be if some did learn der lessen.

dicksbro 04-14-2020 02:31 AM

Bad news is that many have not. :(

gekkogecko 04-14-2020 06:06 AM

The good news is, we could still learned from the few who have learned.

dicksbro 04-15-2020 02:58 AM

The bad news is that many won't take the time to learn from them.

gekkogecko 04-15-2020 06:30 AM

The good news is, the people who refuse to learn usually make themselves irrelevant.

dicksbro 04-15-2020 11:54 PM

The bad news is that it often takes to long for that to happen.

gekkogecko 04-16-2020 06:24 AM

The good news is, somethimes there is such a thing as instant karma.

dicksbro 04-17-2020 12:01 AM

The bad news is that sometimes there's not. :(

gekkogecko 04-17-2020 10:16 AM

The good news is, modern medicine!

PantyFanatic 04-18-2020 02:54 AM

Part of the bad news is modern transportation.

gekkogecko 04-18-2020 09:49 AM

The good news is, with the lockdowns in many places, air polution is actually declining.

dicksbro 04-19-2020 12:51 AM

The bad news is if they find cleaner air promotes bacterial growth thus more medical problems. :yikes:

(Hopefully not! :boink: )

gekkogecko 04-19-2020 09:24 AM

The good news is that, by biomass, bacteria and other microbes are the real rulers of the planet.
