Goofy 04-19-2020 11:32 PM

I's tinks yuz got dat rite. Bad news is if dey give us all dis sickness n' stuff.

gekkogecko 04-20-2020 06:25 AM

The good news, there are many, many microbial life forms that are completely benign.

dicksbro 04-20-2020 11:22 AM

The bad news are those that aren't. :(

gekkogecko 04-21-2020 05:59 AM

The good news, even those tht aren't benign are often helpful in getting rid of our waste.

dicksbro 04-23-2020 04:20 AM

The bad news is the amount of waste we generate. :(

gekkogecko 04-23-2020 05:48 AM

The good news is that one life-form's waste is another life-form's treasure.

dicksbro 04-24-2020 03:13 AM

The bad news is all the mountains of garbage being "built." Got one about 10 miles from here that's looking like a hill. I understand it's about "full" and another hill will have to be built fairly soon. :yikes:

gekkogecko 04-24-2020 09:37 AM

Building hills? Does that mean the good news is, more construction jobs?

dicksbro 04-25-2020 12:22 AM

The bad news is there aren't even rumors about that.

dicksbro 04-25-2020 12:24 AM

Say, there is some good news on the job's front. Kroger (groceries) and Walmart have both said they're going to be hiring something like 50K each during 2020. If that happens, that'll be good news I hope.

gekkogecko 04-25-2020 12:05 PM

Hope it's accurate, and not hype.

dicksbro 04-26-2020 12:28 AM

Well, it was in the news. I, like you, hope it's true. Hope things start opening up again soon. Keep our fingers crossed. :)

gekkogecko 04-26-2020 10:34 AM

The bad news is, "opening up" too soon could be worse, even economically, than staying at home.

dicksbro 04-27-2020 03:05 AM

I agree. Although a lot of areas of the country (especially rural areas) have had little or no COVID-19 problems. Likely would be safe for them to "re-open." Probably has to be looked at almost county by county and maybe some "precautionary" checks on returning employees for their safety. Some reopening could be good news.

gekkogecko 04-27-2020 05:59 AM

I'm not going to re-iterate the bad news, I think it speaks for itself this time.

dicksbro 05-17-2020 02:45 AM

The good news … locally … is that June 10th I'll get a HAIRCUT at the BARBER SHOP! :D

gekkogecko 05-17-2020 10:06 AM

The bad news is, you might get a semi-trained barber who is not only new, but out of practice.

dicksbro 05-18-2020 02:49 AM

The good news is that my barber is the same one I've had for a number of years.

gekkogecko 05-18-2020 06:06 AM

The bad news (for him) is that he's not able to retire yet.

Goofy 05-18-2020 10:47 PM

Yuz lucky db, I startin' ta look like an ol' shaggy dog bout' now. Da gud nuz be when my barber kin chop sum of dis fur back a bit.

gekkogecko 05-19-2020 06:12 AM

The bad news is, Goofy, is the "shaved bald" look is an alternative.

dicksbro 05-20-2020 01:37 AM

The good news is that with my barber accepting appointments; I don't have to consider the "alternative." Whew! :)

gekkogecko 05-20-2020 06:27 AM

The bad news is not everyone has that option.

dicksbro 05-21-2020 02:24 AM

The good news is that seems to be a gradually changing state.

PantyFanatic 05-22-2020 02:17 AM

The bad news is my barber's booked out over 2-1/2 weeks already.

gekkogecko 05-22-2020 09:13 AM

The good news is, that means he will probably have money to spend around the town-maybe patch up that hole inthe roof, maybe loosen the purse strings at the grocer's, that sort of thing.

dicksbro 05-24-2020 12:37 AM

The bad news would be if he decided he didn't need the face mask. :(

gekkogecko 05-24-2020 09:39 AM

The good news is, you can still choose to avoid contact with that person.

Goofy 05-28-2020 05:08 PM

Bad news if he surprise you somehow.

dicksbro 05-28-2020 10:43 PM

Good news is some relaxation of rules put in place at the beginning of COVID-19 are being relaxed if appropriate and with logical guidelines. Re-imposition is always possible if things seem to jump out of controi.

gekkogecko 05-29-2020 06:48 AM

The bad news is, most of the re-openings are jumping the gun.

dicksbro 05-30-2020 01:30 AM

The good news is that despite the current concerns and fears … one day … THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS.

(At least we sure hope so.)

gekkogecko 05-31-2020 09:26 AM

The bad news is, it shall be passed on from those not taking proper precautions to those trying to.

dicksbro 06-01-2020 04:32 AM

The good news is that we're guessing and … just maybe … things will all work out for the best.

gekkogecko 06-01-2020 06:17 AM

The bad news is, there's lots of other bad news these last few days.

Goofy 06-02-2020 05:14 AM

Dat fer shore gg. All dez riots and stuff. Don't know why folks wanna hurt oder folks and destroy stuff. Don't make no sense to me. I hope ve gets some gud news soon and see all dis foolishness stop.

gekkogecko 06-02-2020 06:03 AM

The good news is, baby echidnas are still cute:

dicksbro 06-04-2020 04:01 AM

They are cute, gg. Thanks for sharing that article. The bad news is when they get older and their spines get sharp … not as nice for holding. :(

gekkogecko 06-04-2020 07:08 AM

The good news is, you could try and adopt a hedgehog instead-just be sure you do your research first.

dicksbro 06-04-2020 11:20 PM

The bad news is that I don't think so … I'll leave that choice to others.
