The good news is irrelevant to the earlier goings on: the s/ff convention I"m up to my neck in running right now is going way better than I had any right to anticipate.

The bad news is the number of things that aren't going as well as we wish.

The good news is, the number of things is numberless.

The good news is, alternatives to fossil fuels are a real thing.

The bad news is that we either live in forest of windmills or blinded by the solar collectors on our rooftops or limit travels to 2-300 miles or burn more fossil fuels to recharge batteries. :(

The good news is, the US is still a first-world country, and has the capability of a first-world country to turn things around.
