gekkogecko 01-27-2022 06:56 AM

The bad news is, ERs are too frequently the only avenue of treatment available.

dicksbro 01-27-2022 04:46 PM

The good news is the increasing available of Prompt Care facilities (at least in our area).

gekkogecko 01-30-2022 09:53 AM

The bad news is, we're pretty much running out of health care *and* teaching professionals.

dicksbro 02-01-2022 03:46 AM

The good news is that we're holding our own for now although some doctors have moved out-of-state for personal or professional reasons.

gekkogecko 02-01-2022 07:09 AM

The bad news is, "holding our own" is not the same as improvement.

PantyFanatic 02-02-2022 03:19 PM

The good news is you can't get to good from bad without the first step of "holding our own".

dicksbro 02-02-2022 08:26 PM

The bad news is that costs for available treatments is always going up as well as the cost of the insurances needed to pay them (even Medicare).

gekkogecko 02-03-2022 07:31 AM

The good news is, a single-payer system would increase healthcare availability and lowers costs.

PantyFanatic 02-05-2022 11:31 PM

The bad news is you are right this time GG. But that has a name that causes BIG BUSINESS to froth at the mouth and spew synonyms unpalatable to Americans even though 'socialized' is the way it works but can be clerically administered in a much more profitable manner.

The good news is medical knowledge, technology, and facilities have advanced to such deep degrees that branches of most every study has become it's own specialty. What was 'My Doctor' that made house calls and treated every ailment is kind-a gone. Now 'My Doctor' is our General Practitioner or Primary Care Provider who becomes the report center for the specialist he has referred us too for deeper insight.

Now that I've given both the good news and bad news, you can pick whatever you want next.

dicksbro 02-16-2022 05:26 AM

The bad news is that we're expecting another fairly heavy snow (5-7in) after we just got rid of the last one. :(

gekkogecko 02-16-2022 06:55 AM

The good news is, winter with all its snow blasts will soon be over.

PantyFanatic 02-18-2022 12:50 AM

The bad news is that is a premature call at the middle of February.

dicksbro 02-18-2022 02:44 AM

We have 7" of snow from yesterday. The good news is that a neighbor used his snow blower to clear the driveway.

gekkogecko 02-18-2022 10:58 AM

The bad news, next up is a bunch of rain where it's not needed, and a continued drought where the rain is needed.

dicksbro 02-22-2022 05:15 AM

The good news is that we're in the 50's right now!

gekkogecko 02-22-2022 07:12 AM

The bad news is, for those who suffer from allergies and asthma, the pollen will soon be returning to the northern hermisphere.

PantyFanatic 02-23-2022 02:24 AM

The good news is most all of the snow is gone for the first time this month.

dicksbro 02-23-2022 02:27 AM

Same here. Only the really "big" piles where the plows piled it up still have some remaining. Today will be cold enough that not much more will disappear I'm afraid, but overall we're in pretty good shape.

The bad news is that more snow is predicted for Thursday. :( I'm ready for spring.

gekkogecko 02-23-2022 06:58 AM

The good news is, snow melt contributes to spring irrigation.

dicksbro 02-25-2022 03:02 AM

The bad news is that if it melts too fast or the power goes out ... the sump pump may not keep the basement dry.

gekkogecko 02-25-2022 08:55 AM

The good news is, sump pumps really suck.

dicksbro 02-27-2022 03:02 AM

The bad news is if the electricity fails.

PantyFanatic 02-28-2022 02:08 AM

The good news is we have straws. :yikes:

gekkogecko 02-28-2022 07:32 AM

The bad news, is we may have to manually operate the pumps.

PantyFanatic 02-28-2022 09:59 PM

The good news is you have straws for a backup for your pump. :kisser:

gekkogecko 03-01-2022 07:20 AM

The bad news is where you might have to stick those straws.

dicksbro 03-02-2022 03:16 AM

The good news is that while they are a poor alterative to a sump pump, they are good for letting you have a sip of cold refreshing drinks. :)

gekkogecko 03-02-2022 07:00 AM

The bad news is, in the northern hemisphere it's still winter, and that cold drink could end up freezing your jaw off.

dicksbro 03-03-2022 04:05 AM

The good news is that you could drink your cold drink indoors.

gekkogecko 03-03-2022 06:53 AM

The bad news is, sometimes the snow collapses your roof, and the indoors becomes the outdoors.

PantyFanatic 03-04-2022 03:42 AM

The good news is you now have a summer home.

dicksbro 03-04-2022 05:09 AM

The bad news is ... I DO????? I didn't know that. :D

gekkogecko 03-04-2022 08:58 AM

The good news, this can mean a fresh start.

dicksbro 03-05-2022 03:44 AM

The bad news a new home also means more real estate taxes. :yikes:

dicksbro 03-06-2022 04:37 AM

The good news is that selling your old home might bring a higher selling price. :)

gekkogecko 03-06-2022 10:51 AM

The bad news is, if you sell your home, you ae now homeless, but with a lot of money.

dicksbro 03-06-2022 05:04 PM

The good news is that you'd have a whole year before you had to pay taxes on that money.

gekkogecko 03-07-2022 07:38 AM

The bade news is, you still wouldn't be able to hide your money from the tax collectors.

dicksbro 03-08-2022 01:29 AM

The good news is that once the government has it all ... we won't need to hide it. :yikes:

gekkogecko 03-08-2022 07:13 AM

The bad news is, even clowns have to earn enough money to eat.
