For me, tequila makes for a very randy boy. Sex usually follows... |
Bet no one can guess what movie my wife and I are going to see this morning. I will give you a clue ... it's NOT "How Much is That Doggie in the Window." Have a great day everyone! :D
|
Those that guessed the new Planet of the Apes were right. It was very good and the CG was extremely good. Couldn't imagine how very life like the apes appeared.

I have 1 more week before i officially start my new job
|
^^^^ The countdown begins! Hope the job is everything you want and hope it will be, Lil!

"SOMETHING!"
(Well, that's what the thread is called ... "Tell Me Something" ) |
At my age, I have only four days left.

There's another thread ... just started ... recognizing that today is the geckos last day at the age of four days ago. Yep. Those days are gone. :) |
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Not the documentary on the entertainment precinct in Amsterdam then. |
We just had our chimney cleaned out for the coming winter.
|
I can't sleep :hair:
|
I like oral sex.
I also like other forms but we were only suppose to tell "something" and that sounds singular. :D (If you're interested ... I have added a new Thanksgiving poem to the poetry thread. First in a long (too long) time. :) ) |
I think we're going to go see "Murder on the Orient Express" this morning. It's not the original but looks pretty good. Tomorrow then, we're going to watch a one-day showing of the original Humphrey Bogart movie, "Casablanca." Seen Casablanca many times but never on the "big screen." One of my favorite movies.
(And, would you believe ... a second poem ("Don't You Love It") this week! :) ) |
I fell into the tumblr pornado.
|
I was right on the movie. "Murder on the Orient Express" was very good. Followed the original storyline (I thought) very well and benefited from newer technology to enhance the visual presentation. Now, on to "CASABLANCA" this afternoon. :D
BTW ... how as the pornado, Lil? |

"Fell"? Would have been better if it had sucked you (up). |
I didn't realize how fantastic seeing Casablanca on the big screen would be. I LOVED IT! IT WAS GREAT!
This evening, I'll be in an honor guard at our church for the deceased members of our fraternal order. It's an annual event followed by a dinner for members of the order and their spouses. |
Got our new refrigerator delivered and installed yesterday. Lookin' good. :)

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

I'm nearly there now! Well, except for the perky and erect parts. ;p |
Went to see "The Star" yesterday (the Christmas story told from the perspective of the donkey that carried Mary to Bethlehem). Very well done! Animations were terrific and the story line was very true to the biblical one (except for the animals that were cleverly done and worked into the story. Great show for kids and grandkids!
May see the Justice League today ... not sure yet. |
Too much suckage of late. A close friend of mine's mother died a couple of months ago. Then a fannish friend of mine died. Then a person in the local gaming community died. My wife's boyfriend is in the process of dying of cancer, heading downhill fairly rapidly at this point. On-line friend of mine's husband died last week. My girlfriend's father died yesterday. And my wife's other boyfriend's grandmother also died.
2017 can go fuck itself. |
I hear you ... been a tough year in our neck of the woods this year, too. Some of it, I suspect, is getting older ... we notice more of our friends and relations reaching that time of life. As a little kid, I hardly remember anyone ever passing away. Now, it seems every week someone I know takes that step.

I've had my fingers in the pie all day ;)

We're getting ready to leave for Indianapolis tomorrow morning. Be back again on Friday. I may take my laptop so there'll possibly be a chance to get onto Pixies tomorrow morning. Hope so anyway. In any case, HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone (even if you don't celebrate it tomorrow where you live :D)!

I wish a very unhappy turkey to all our Pixie family.

I'm off to help run Chessiecon. http://chessiecon.org/
Hope the Turkeys ( http://chessiecon.org/turkey.html ) are exceptionally bad this year. |
Can you believe it's been 76 years since Pearl Harbor. The official beginning of our role as an active belligerent in the Second World War. May God bless and watch over all those who have honorably served in wars as loyal citizens of their country.

My new job with a former employer begins on Monday. I'm very excited about it and can't wait to get started!

Another funeral coming up. A very good friend just passed away from lung cancer (he never smoked). Visitation will be Friday and the Funeral will be Saturday. He and I joined a fraternal organization at the same time and we and our wives attended many dinners, winter concerts and other other events. He will be sorely missed. :(
But, he was a man of faith and I've no doubt he's in a far better and more peaceful place now. God, please, let him rest in peace and comfort his wife and family. :wish: |
Sucks, DB. Death issues always suck.
Oh, my wife's boyfriend of 25 years died, also. Death issues always suck. |
LILITH!!!
:box: I got my delivery she got me ..... big time :banghead: |

Hey listen old man. I warned you. See the last few pages of the weather report thread. :xmas: |

She did indeed warn me.

How long has it been? Six, eight years? Now I know she's at least part Irish. [Irish Alzheimer's- You forget everything except the grudges] After a long, looooong truce................ (A historic recap coming soon for any new or even some of our older citizens) |
I hope you took pics.... :D

Just got home a little bit ago after visiting home shut-ins and two apartments in a senior residence home. Had a great time visiting with them and giving them a little Christmas gift and card for their enjoyment. Always a nice way to spend a morning and some of the afternoon.

Been a movie week ... went to see Star Wars on Tuesday; Jumangi on Wednesday; and, Ferdinand yesterday. Theatre loves us. Ferdinand was really cute. One of the characters (Guapo ... one of the bulls) had Peyton Manning as his voice. That was a surprise.
Planning on seeing Star Wars again. Loved it the first time but have had at least two people tell us that seeing it a second time raised their opinion for great to even better. Might be worth seconds. Probably won't go today. Weather doesn't look the best, but, maybe tomorrow. |
