Ok, I finally got a norelco and tried it doen there.
Close shave: yes, but not as close as a razor and some REALLY small stubble didnt want to get picked up easily. pulling: It only pulls on hairs that are too long, the built in trimmer should take care of those though. Even when it did pull it did'nt hurt anywhere as much as some people make it out to be (big babies :p ) irritation:Yes, but since its the first time Im not thinking much of it. The feeling is that of light itching of which the likes remind me of what you get if you were to leave a massager on you for too long. Cut the sack: Nope, felt really wierd though, I ran the trimmer over it once (nipped some skin but no accual cuts). I also cut mostly the sides, down the center there are still somes hairs because I wasnt brave enough to go over it yet :p . Ill talk about this one in a later update. Should you get it: It all depends. If youve already been using a razor for a while, keep at it. If you want to try something different and have some cash to burn, I say at least try it (most have COMPANY garauntee plans so you can return it straight to them if your local store wont take it back after a certain time). I guess its just another cutting device your skin will have to get to, so first times should be a bit annoying. NOTE: My irritated skin MIGHT be because I didnt charge it the recommended FULL 12 hours, I left it more like 7 (I couldnt wait ;) ) and NORMAL recharge time is 8 hours I think. So I guess Ill update after 2-3 more shaves. ALSO, norelco says that sometimes it can take up to 21 days of use to fully get used to it. Those are just some things to keep in mind. Any other questions? |

I'm afraid I can't compare an electric (rotary) shaver w/the Feather Touch, because I'm not sure how the rotary (w/those two or three circles, right?) works. The top of the Feather Touch looks and feels more like a micromesh shaver (well...it IS one, but it's a round one, not a long rectangular bar like on most shavers). I don't know how clear I am being. For some reason, though, I do believe that the Feather Touch would give you a closer shave than what the rotary shaver would. Did you go to their site and look at a pix of it? I'll be interested to read what you have to say after you've used the Norelco a few more times. |
I'm a chic and the way I do mine it just a basic razor... i dont use shaving cream or soap, with those i was always left with a rash. i just use baby power... make sure you're dry, dump on the powder and wahla. no razor burn, no itch and the skin is soft... a mustache trimmer keeps landing strip short.

I've used an electric shaver before (made for the face) and it has the 3 rotary blades behind a screen. It works fine closest to the body but for the scrotum sack area I would not use it again.....mine either pulls or slightly nicks the small bumps on my skin and hurts. I've been searching a lot on the web and I also found the feather touch, but I haven't seen or heard enough about it to justify buying it.....although it looks like it might help me a lot. |
Been using hubbies Mach 3 lately. He says he doesn't mind (but did when I used his other shavers) because this one has 3 blades and rinses completely...therefore cutting down on the razor burn left from "dead" spots in shavers with hair that won't rinse away! Some soap or shaving cream (don't get the stuff with eucalyptus in it....whew!) for sensitive skin and the Mach 3 (not the newer one with the lube strip)....and VOILA! Pretty as a picture! Don't believe me.....check out some of my threads, whointhewhatnow!
BTW....I forgot to mention that I shave all the sensitive areas (I think the pussy lips are as or more sensitive than the scrotum) cept I leave a teeny tiny landing strip (cause panties or jeans seem to irritate me there.....not the shaving). Sorry for the shameless advertising of my threads......and did I mention.......WELCUM TO PIXIES? Oops! I meant to! LOL! Hope this gives you another alternative! |
