Irish, that was a good thread but if you follow that link that Lilith posted although it verifies that the guy in fact wrote that letter, hardly any of what's in the letter is fact.

My husband is a disabled veteran, a lot of our friends are in Iraq right now. I have mixed feelings on all the issues. I live in a far from perfect world and yet I also feel two wrongs do not make a right. Not all of the pictures that have been on the news were taken for the same reasons. Some people are talking about how torturing the prisoners for information is ok, well that isn't for me to decide however a few of the pictures I've seen had nothing to do with getting information. They were rediculous immature soldiers who are supposed to be doing a specific job and instead are humiliating people who have already been caught and are serving time in a prison. I don't know the Iraqi people in those pictures. How do I know that they aren't there just on suspicion, maybe their waiting a trial? Who knows. And on the other side, maybe they are there for something horrible. I know there's a few people in the U.S. who've done horrible things who I've thought deserved nothing less that torture. But the only thing worse than showing me these pictures is to not give me the whole story so I can make my own opinion on them. :mad:

Oh my god! Be careful when you're searching for information. I'm always wanting more information, and I was trying to search for more stories on this poor man who was beheaded. And I came up with the video. Ok I will never go searching for more information that I can handle ever again. I will not be sleeping tonight. I just had to warn people who might also be looking for more information. There was no warning, I thought it was another story and it came up in my media player, just popped right up and I thought "oh a slide show"....um no not quite. My hands are cold and I think i'm done on the computer for a while. That was the sickest thing ever......
