Make mine bloody. I want to be able to put a couple of bandaids on it and set it back out to pasture.

Mmmmmm, mine would be rare, or medium rare.

There's a place here called Las Nazarenas and they have a bife de chorizo that is HUUUUGE!!! It's about as big around as a trade paperpack (not a pocket paperback) and about 4cm thick!

Oh, and then the tira de asado, which are a cut of beef ribs. Mmmm, mmm. Another good place to eat is Cabaņa las Lilas, but it is a bit expensive.

It's 3:30 am, I can't sleep, and now I'm hungry!!

nikki1979: Heh, beef is much, much cheaper here than chicken or pork. I can buy an entire beef tenderloin (about 2kg) for $45 pesos (about $22 Canadian dollars). I think that makes it about 16-17 US dollars. But then, there are less expensive cuts than tenderloin.

What is funny is that they really don't do much of the vegetarian thing here. I have some friends and they are vegetarians, not vegans, and we go to restaurants and they ask for things (salads, pizzas, etc.) that look like they will be vegetarian. Without doubt, they often come with ham on them. When they call the waiter back to tell him that they don't eat meat, they always so nicely reply that there isn't any meat in it. If it's not beef, it's just not meat :)

Brown through, but still tender and juicy.

Bibi, mushrooms?

That being said, it's time that this group must somehow become a family, thats the way we all became........oh wait, thats the brady bunch song.
