Plastic underneath the sheets works okay if you like pretending you're making love in a bowl of Rice Krispies...

Maybe it's because we have cheap sheets and all that....maybe it's because even at our messiest, we're not THAT insanely messy (actually this isn't completely true...we've had some pretty gigantic 'wet spots' SOMEONE'S a gusher and it ain't me!), or maybe it's because we're just too careless and un-anal (I have a witty comment to make her, but perhaps it doesn't quite follow with proper table manners :D) of people, but we never really seem to have problems as far as getting prepared for fluid-filled nights. We have a mattress pad, simple cloth, pretty old. We should probably buy a new one, just because it's so old. It has a few...ahem...stains, but it's not like something you'd find in a hotel, and it doesn't smell or anything, so I don't see it as a big thing.

We have lube, lots of lube...we've tested and experimented with a lot of different kinds. I have to suggest, if you're trying to find a nice, relatively clean-ish lube, check out the 'sensual mist' from KY. Now, normally I prefer Astroglide, hands down and dicks up,as it were. And if you can't find the mist, then go with Astro. But the mist stuff seems to give exceptional coveridge on the naughty bits and coat pretty evenly. Now, it'll be all over HER (or him. or you. whatever.) but for us at least, it never really seems to end up all over the sheets, like normal lube does, and that's kinda nice. It also seems to not have that 'lube' feeling; everything feels a lot more natural and organic, but has the nice extra slipperiness and ease that lube gives you. Again, maybe this is just us, but I say it seems to feel better, and if you can feel better and have less mess, I'm all for it ;)

Water bed you just take the sheets and everything else up and some baby oil and just play slip and slide.

Hmmmm ... you could just rent a motel room. :D

Actually, we usually would just use a beach or bath towel. :boink:

You can get mattress protectors that are waterproof that do not make a noise....but they are expensive

wyndhy 01-09-2007 09:25 AM

yup, plastic covers don't make any noise if you put them under the pad.

and a little fyi. laundering won't get the oil stains out of your sheets (or any other fabric), but drycleaning will.
