...not really a nightmare...
...I don't really have nightmares, at least not many that I can remember, but I do have a very disturbing recurring dream...I'm some form of warrior, a celt possibly, on one side of an army with the opposing force on the other side of a broad field...there are a few moments of perfect calm and the detail is crystal clear...I can see the other men's breath steaming in the air, the sunlight on blades...and then there's a tremendous roar and the two armies are running together and with this god-awful crunch, they come together...now I'm in the thick of it, and everything seems so brutally real...men are being dismembered, surrounded by the groaning and weeping of the dying...I can see faces that I can almost recognize, people I know falling beside me...and just as battle reaches it's peak, I'm about to turn around, and I'm speared through the back...I look down and I watch the spearhead explode through my belly...this is usually the point were I wake up...I don't find it scary, but I deffinately feel shock and find the whole experience very disturbing...that's usually the end of sleep for me for a night...

Why do the people in my nightmare keep changing?
I have this reoccurring nightmare that just makes me so upset.:(
I dream that I’m Divas’ new baby and the damn doctor puts me on formula!  Sometimes it’s Lilith:p or sadora:p or BamaKyttn:p or RandyGal:p or sweetc0rn:p or .................................................: D |
Wow, I guess I should thank God I don't remember most of my dreams... for many years I wasn't able to dream due to untreated sleep apnea (sleep interupted because my breathing was blocked by the soft pallet), never got the deep REM dream sleep I needed. The only nightmares I ever remember are the old standard feels-like-I'm-falling-awake-with-a-start variety, maybe due to my one big phobia, fear of heights... ah, to sleep, perchance to dream... OF can tell ya where that came from...

ROTFLMFAO!!!!! Welll your nightmares are much better than mine Panty!!!!...At least you don't have huge marshmallow people chassing you all over the place!!! I have had this re-occuring nightmare as long as I can remember..and I love marshmallows!!! But the good thing is they haven't caught me yet...I always manage to outrun them!! Great thread BTW RandyGal!! Was getting a tad worried about you not being around there...nice to see you again!! And thanks to Panty's quote...I wasn't able to use any smiley.s GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR |
You guys have some AWESOME if not frightful dreams! WOW!!
And pantyfanatic??? ROTFLMAO I believe I wet myself on that one....you joker you!! *tilting my boob so you can have a nibble...see? nobody took away your boobie...it'll be fine...LOL LOL LOL* Diva!! I've had a similar dream and I think it's from seeing Alfred Hitchcock or something.... my other dream is one where my hands and feet are all puffy like marshmallows........but I can't chase anyone. It's a weird weird dream, but not particularly scary. Who's REALLY scared of fat hands anyway? How dorky is that? LOL LOL |
Well by now there is no hiding that I am a freak..........I do not dream, ever, with the exception of a death dream. My entire family past and present day and even future are all seated at a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng table then there is some sort of ruckus that causes a stampede. Everyone jumps up and begins running towards the door, down a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng hall with black and white marble checkered floors. Well as my family runs, all mixed up and scattered, tiles in the floor open and one by one people drop through them. Ok, now here is the freaky part...........in my dream the people drop through in the order they have died.......including the one who is next to die.... the rest of us get out of the house and run through a field of tall wire grass til we come upon an old wooden circus trailer and are somehow considered safe. I have this dream within 6 months of the person's death, always............I know psycho:p
|
LILITH!!!
You FREAK!!!! Kidding...JUST kidding! That really IS odd though...JUST a death dream and no others!! Weird...... |
I think I would go completely psycho knowing what was coming, Lilith... now I have to ask... do you ever share this knowledge with anyone in the family, before or after the fact?
|
I agree...that would be terribly difficult information to have and NOT be able to share it with someone....
wow! |
U sure have a wired dream, Lilith. :p
|
Not to fear Diva!

That's just the Michelin Man that I sent to run over all those baby bottles!:D |
i used to have a couple of wierd ones.
The first and a lot of years ago.... i used to dream about being bitten by a bat, that had rabies. it used to bite me in the same place (on my hand) everytime. i now have a scar there but i never remember actually cutting my hand in that place!! The other comes and goes. I cant remember much about the dream except that i am fighting some big thing that is evil. I have to win if i lose then i will become evil too. Very strange that one cause when i wake i get paranoid about things. |

I think the quote comes from Robin Williams, or maybe Shakespeare. Lilith It's amazing how the mind can put a heap of cues and clues together and come up with some amazing insights. |
Yeh, that's it, Robin, uh-huh.... thought you'd key in on a Willy quote
|
That's one heck of a nightmare Lilith. All my nightmare stories pale in comparsion against seeing a family member die beforehand.
