I think not! :banghead:

Not everybody that enjoys pushing the 'views' counter over 400 is a big mouth like us.

Just keep posting and make sure Scooby gets more show time!

PantyFanatic 08-22-2008 06:10 PM

btw- Neat fish

It's starting to look like you've become an angel breeder. Make more like Grayson. :)

Lilith 08-22-2008 06:20 PM

you have just angels in the one tank? Is that because other fish terrorize them? I have not put my big tank together yet.

Fangtasia 08-22-2008 06:26 PM

The angels get too large for my other tanks. They are all residents of the 5ft and they live in there with 5 pakistani loaches, 2 clown loaches, 2 bristlenose, 3 cories and some shrimp :)

Noah 08-24-2008 02:48 AM

Snapped a few new random pics of the fishies

Next up is Simvar checking out the new furniture for comfortableness

Noah 08-24-2008 02:53 AM

Then last off for this round is Scooby Doo...cause otherwise i'll not hear the end of it from a certain someone ;)

This is Scoobs reaction to me mentioning PantyFanatic *LOL*

Lilith 08-24-2008 08:05 AM

Simvar is gorgeous.

PantyFanatic 08-24-2008 08:55 AM

Scooby told ME, that last pic was his thought when he saw that Simvar was who got to 'test' the couch. :hair: He said "Ma likes him best" :(

Noah 09-13-2008 11:21 PM

We have a new addition to the Ark :D

Meet Delilah, my new axolotl

The tank is still a bit bare, gotta add some plastic plants, only live plants will be the java fern that is already in there tied to the wood, as axolotls are like bulldozers and like to redecorate *L*

Noah 09-13-2008 11:27 PM

The 5ft tank as it is today.....i removed all the wisteria as it was like a weed and i was tired of having to remove pups every day that were blocking light to other plants. With the wisteria gone, new plants will be added. Dropping into the lfs on Tuesday to see what i can get for it.

PantyFanatic 09-13-2008 11:28 PM

You're not fooling me. That's a guppie in there.

Noah 09-13-2008 11:32 PM

*L*...Delilah is sitting under the filter, and they aren't guppies, there gudgeons and in there as feeder fish for Del :)

Noah 09-13-2008 11:33 PM

Some more of Simvar

IowaMan 09-15-2008 03:42 PM

Simvar is a very pretty kitty! Such a big fluffball.

And I can never get enough of seeing Scooby!

Lilith 09-15-2008 06:33 PM

Simvar is beautiful!

Noah 09-24-2008 04:24 AM

Thanks...Simmy is very special to me. And i just adore him (not that i dont love my other critters mind you!)

Noah 09-24-2008 04:24 AM

Delilah ~ female

Sam ~ female

This one shows their tank

Lilith 09-24-2008 04:39 AM

Those are interesting. I have never seen them before.

Oldfart 09-24-2008 06:19 AM

The so-called Mexican Walking Fish.

AKA retarded salamanders. With the right hormones, they change into full salamanders.

Noah 09-24-2008 01:32 PM

They're a amphibian Lil....and interesting for sure, you can feed them out of your hand once they get used to you.

Changing them with hormones drastically shortens their lifespan, also is not alway successful. While they can change it is not advisable to try to force them to. Some have been documented doing it naturally, but that is extremely rare.

They stay in this larval form all their lives, and are one of the few that breeds in this form. My kids love em, and me too *L*. They are just so different to the norm.

scotzoidman 09-24-2008 07:47 PM

And there are 17 different ways to pronounce "axolotl",

all of them incorrect.

wyndhy 09-24-2008 08:31 PM

looks a bit like a mud skipper and a dragon had a baby. who says there's no such thing as evolution?!:D very very cool animal.

aw, simvar is hugging that little lion! cute.

rooby roo's yawn is cute too, he looks like he's yelling for somebody.

Yes, Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel...or three...

Noah 09-25-2008 03:44 AM

Its pronounced Ax-oh-lot-ul

Oldfart 09-25-2008 06:52 AM

It's pronounced "banned in the Northern Territory". If those little suckers got loose in tropical waterways, it'd give the cane toads something else to eat.

Noah 09-25-2008 01:09 PM

They prefer cold/cool water. If the water gets to warm they tend to get ill, Not really a tropical critter at all, so i dont understand the NT reasoning there

Noah 09-26-2008 10:07 PM

Some new ones of Buddy

And his newly setup tank (still more plants to be added)

Noah 09-27-2008 12:55 AM

Random 5ft tank pics

Noah 09-27-2008 12:57 AM

Lilith 09-27-2008 08:21 AM

Pretty. I love the plants. I have tried to take pics of my tank now that I have it all set up and have some fishies. I've started off with plastic plants because I'm growing my real ones from bulbs. So far we have 4 different types of plants growing. I have 4 very bright African Cichlids 1 blue, 1 orange and 2 yellow. I also have 2 red finned sharks. We've had it set up about 3 weeks now and all are doing well. I'm really enjoying having such a large tank.

Noah 09-27-2008 03:55 PM

Definately need pics Lil...sounds great! I'd like to get other types of cichlids one day, but most others, other than the Angels or Rams, are not real heavily planted friendly *L* I'd also need a larger tank, not sure Bilbo would let me have it *L*...i think he believes 10 tanks is enough *LOL*

Planted tanks are just awesome, like a bit of nature in your house

Just watch your red-finned sharks, they tend to be intolerant of their own kind, especially as the reach maturity. I had 3 of them, 1 was bullied to death and the other i rescued and rehomed before the big guy knocked him off. I was so upset too, the 3 of them looked stunning in the tank.

Noah 09-27-2008 05:04 PM

2ft tank updates

This tank has had a major plant reshuffle and haircut! The plants had taken over practically all the space, the were crammed against the front glass *L* I want to put fish in it so the need somewhere to swim, so maintenance was required.

I forgot to get some of it just before the prune, the one below was taken of the 14th

Not a jungle in the above pic really, but take my word for it, it was absolutely feral yesterday when i finally got a chance to fix it up!

Anyway, all the wisteria was removed as it was just taking over everything, some plants were trimmed and the trimmed parts replanted, runners were cut and replanted elsewhere, large sword moed from one side to the other, wood changed slightly.

New plants will be added over the coming weeks, but this is it today

**The pics come out not true to colours due to wood still releasing tannins

sodaklostsoul 09-28-2008 12:12 AM

Buddy is a cool blue.

Noah 09-30-2008 04:08 AM

Scored a free 3ft x 18" x14" tank today, dont know if its watertight as yet though, will check that once i get some foam and work out where the fork i'm gonna put it. I may sell it on yet, dunno really.

I may have some more VERY VERY exciting news for the Ark tomorrow!!!!!

Noah 10-03-2008 12:56 AM

Well it took a bit longer than i thought for the VERY VERY exciting news *LOL*

BUT :D:D:D

OMG...i'm now sooooo excited.

My girl will be here sometime next week, she is not named as yet, it has to begin with an A, as she is from 'A' litter. The breeder and myself will come up with something i'm sure *L*

A pic from the breeder

More updates to come for sure :D:D

Lilith 10-03-2008 04:30 AM

Noah 10-03-2008 04:40 AM

dicksbro 10-03-2008 04:54 AM
