Dicksbro - John Wayne airport is still open - it's just called something else -- but when I just asked in my office what the new name is - no one remembers it .... we all still refer to it as John Wayne airport -- lol -- habit is a hard thing to break!!!!

The Fire Ants start Looking for winter housing.................preferably in your House if they can get away with it.

skipthisone 09-05-2002 01:16 PM

I know the season is changing cause everytime I open my zipper my cock tries to get out and fly south for the winter...don't know if this is cause of the cold or something down there is calling it.

Lilith 09-05-2002 01:24 PM

<~~~~~ whispers to skipthisone's cock again :p

PantyFanatic 09-05-2002 05:05 PM

LMFAO @ skipthisone:D

PantyFanatic 09-05-2002 05:17 PM

There was a time….

… you could call a finer restaurant and make reservations for a special dinner that employed a device that I haven’t seen used by the chief at your table in quite some time.:yellghst:

Perhaps if Sugarsprinkles just shows up at the park and starts to polish her DUCK PRESS:eek:, the journey north would be continued.

(one of the advantages of being around for a period, you get to know about theses things):D

LixyChick 09-05-2002 06:38 PM

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!.......I just love you guys! Specially skips cock! I didn't know we could whisper to it......(Pssssssssttttttt!) OMGGG! And Sugarsprinkles.....go kick um in the ass! Geese hate that!

OK.....Update! The crickets are moving closer to the house......the dragonfly's are on the move so that the barn swallows are hovering above my house, eating all the dragonfly's. All the bats in my smokehouse are headed south. I am awaiting the swarm of ladybugs....they cling to my house and come inside whenever I open the door. In the dead of winter I am the only person in Pa. who tries to make sure the Ladybugs aren't gonna die. I feed them cat food (believe it or not they like it) and I put a drop or two of water on my counter each morning so they have something to drink. I have clusters of them in the corners of my home all winter. In spring....I set them free! I am told I could refridgerate them and make them docile....but I like to see them all winter....LMAO! OH...and a big PS here....DON'T EVER ACCIDENTLY EAT A LADYBUG......THEIR ONLY MEANS OF DEFENSE?....THEY ARE SOOOOOO BITTER TO THE TASTE.......TAKE IT FROM ME!

Be back soon......the seasons they are a changing!

PS...I will get a pic of the swarming ladybugs as soon as they get here.....it's amazing!

Don't let those ausies hear you say that. They’re always crying when it gets below 80. Your 60f is about 16c. Today’s hi was 50 here (10c) and I wore a jacket for the first time this year. The high for Friday is suppose to be 42 (6c). :( I may have to turn on the heat pretty soon.

As far as leaf pictures are concerned, it was such a dry year that we aren’t getting much color. They’re just turning brown and falling. Going to make raking really drab this year.

Bilbo 10-17-2002 02:03 AM

Usually a gradual climb in temp from mid to high teens through Winter to mid to high Twenties in Spring, anything above 35 go's during Summer.
But things have changed a little this year.....we skiped Spring

dicksbro 10-17-2002 05:03 AM

Today ... got to help some friends load a truck (volunteer work) and it's only suppose to hit 49 F with light rain. Brrrrrrrrrr. Not ready for this yet. Heat came on last night.

Anyway, Lil, getting some pictures from around here and hope to post them soon.

You know you're from Ontario when.......

I normally don’t spend time telling somebody else’s story but this seemed the perfect place to post a note I received from a fiend. The best part of it is that not one of these will make sense to an Aussie except maybe #2,

I’m posting about the only spot of actual color this year. Most of the trees around here seem to just be turning brown but late in dropping their leaves. Folk lore says the later the leaves fall, the colder the winter will be. (gees- I hope that’s only folk lore)

dicksbro 10-25-2002 06:43 PM

PF ROTFLMAO.

Murphy 10-25-2002 06:56 PM

LOL PF!

Fall Signs in the Ozarks:

1) the smell of fresh oil on the dirt road past your house

2) There are almost as many dead squirrels on the road as leaves

3) Walmart starts running out of "House Wrap", "Shrink Wrap" and "Glad Wrap" 'cause everybody is sealing their windows.

4) The answer to "Honey, where's the Blow-dryer?" is "Warming the car"

5) The morning fog had encased everything in a 1/2in coat of ice.

6) Coat and gloves in the morning, shorts and t-shirt by afternoon.

7) The dogs want to stay in and the cats want to stay out.

8) The farmers start painting "COW" on their livestock in preparation for the city-slickers' weekend hunting trips.

9) everybody is stocking up on firewood, generator fuel, water, and beer.

10) It no longer takes an hour to drive 15 mi, 'cause all the tourists have gone home.

BIBI 10-25-2002 10:57 PM

lmao......here in Ontario we do have a few weeks of humidity too....our summer season...

That posting though is as close as damn it is to swearing!!!!

GermanSteve 10-26-2002 01:04 PM

Today - although sunny - we had stormy winds and it will be still stronger tomorrow. No doubt, that´s fall.
