I'm a bit out of the loop here...what exactly is PAGAN?

And would I be required to bring beverages? :cheers:

PAGAN was a get together held at Niagara Falls, ONT last August. Eleven Pixies attended. Mainly got to know each other, spend some time together, had breakfast and supper together on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. All but two stayed at one hotel but all eleven got together to go shopping; see some of the sights. Had a great time. At dinner we goofed around (see some of the photos) with a game hosted by "Red Green" at which Steph won the honor of being the "Guardian" of the colors with flags from Canada, Australia and the US (representing the three countries with PAGANS present).

Now, several of us are hoping to get back together one of these days and maybe be joined by several other Pixies who weren't able to attend last summer.

Oh, yeah, PAGAN stood for Pixies Adult Gathering At Niagara. :)

Ahhh...now THAT sounds like fun! And now I can enjoy these pictures more since I know what's going on!

Get together this summer, eh? Hmmm...a bit too early for me now to make solid travel promises, but if the twain meets, I might be down for it, meself...

I doubt our next gathering will be this year but I sure hope EVERY Pixie possible can be there after what we experienced at PAGAN. It's hard to know how our postings come across to those that weren't able to be a PAGAN 06, but it was truly a super thing for all of us that were able. You can go back twenty sum pages, to the start of this thread (one of the best on our board in my opinion ;) ) and see how this unfolded. It starts slow, gets serious, goes to silly, turns to excitement and then the shock of how really great it was for all of us. I don't think the next gathering will be as close to you as this one was, Irezumi Kiss, but I can promise it will be something you will never forget when you get back from PAGAN 08. ;)

I'm excited about the next PAGAN as I'm moving back to Niagara Falls in June

Probably will hold off for a time when OF & his bride can make it back to the states, but it's not too early to start thinking about someplace we could hold another "PAGAN event." A plus would be if there's one or more Pixies in the general neighborhood who could help spot lodging (economical but nice); restaurants; sights to see; places to gather as a group; ... stuff like that. Might also think about transportation ... good Interstate Highways; rail or air links; things like that.

Hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag, but it seems I was detained & questioned in chat not long ago by 2 or 3 PAGAN vets about the accommodations & such in Nashville, for a possible '08 gathering...of course, it was all understood to be very tentative, but I couldn't help but notice the level of excitement of said vets at even the slight prospect of doing it again...

...I was also floored by their ignorance of what is & isn't in Music City ;) ...looks like I gotta lotta ejumacashun to do if this comes about...

PAGAN makes Pixies real in a way you cannot achieve just on-line. It was a great get-together of real people I am proud to call friends.

Hopefully the next will be somewhere more accessable for the southern Pixies.

Excitement confirmed. Those that went to Niagara I think are all excited about the possibility of getting together again. I know my wife and I are.

Nashville sounds terrific to me, although, I must confess, other than Opryland and the city's association with especially country music, I'm one of the ignorant.

Of course, we'd be up for about anywhere ... even Lil's house. (JK - although OF did give it rave reviews.) :D

It's only about a year and a half away, folks. Put the coins in the piggy bank! :)
