Have you ever been stung by a bee or wasp?

stung by both often as a kid...been a long time now since I was stung...does that mean I'm getting faster at running away as I get older?


Do you feel conditions in the world are improving and why do you feel as you do?

Boy, that's a tough one. Some things are improving, in fields such as medicine and astronomy. And food production in, at least the western world, is staying above population growth. Yet, in other areas, things seem worse. Terrorism is probably at it's worst ever, in part because it's not localized anymore, but widespread (global). And while nuclear war is maybe not likely, the risk of a "dirty bomb" or "rogue state" use is probably at it's highest. I guess the way I'd sum up my feelings is that while I'm glad I'm alive ... not sure I'd want to start over again. Hows that for a short answer to a big question?

Would you be inclined to visit any middle eastern country right now if you were given a free ticket?

Yes definitely...would love to return to Oman, Jordan, Yemen, UAE, Bahrain...but the free ticket wouldn't entice me back to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar...and I'll also wait awhile on Iraq and Iran.


If you could live in any place (OTHER THAN where you presently live), where would it be?

Probably Colorado. Never lived there but just love that state. Truly beautiful. (Although I can think of dozens of other places I'd love as well.)

What was the most special time you can remember having with your so/spouse?

So many! When he left for school, we knew we'd be apart until I could get my sh*t together to move down here. We had a really nice weekend together before he left.

Have you and your S/O ever broken up?

We came close, once or twice, but after doing some talking realized it was a case of miscommunications and misunderstandings, and that neither one of us really even wanted to consider it.

Mornings. I'm definitely a morning person. I tend to get up early and call it a night early also ... with some exceptions, of course. :)

i rub the top of his head....his cranium that is...I rub the other one too but that's usually to get him excited ;)

A new set of Minilite wheels for my Mini Cooper.

Professional photos of myself and my sister for my Mom. She didn't have any of the two us as adults and so we decided she would like that...She actually cried when she saw it because we had one specially framed and wrapped for her

Classical Literature. I got bored with the contemporary authors I was reading a few years ago and picked up several classic books. 2 years and 25 books later, I'm truly addicted to them.

I do miss family members who don't live close by, but I'm not sure I get blue over that. Only if I had to be away from my wife during the holidays. That'd make me sad.

Ever get the urge to have your car re-painted?

Yes. I bought a 1971 Mini Cooper this summer. It has a fairly new paint job that looks good, but there are a few well hidden spots of rust.... I really want to get it all stripped down and redone...

Outrageous - no . . . I did blow $80 on French lessons in cassette form and they're at my mother's house. I want them!

What do you consider strange about your family?

My mother.

Just kidding.

I thought for years that I was adopted. Seriously. My mom and dad both had brown hair and brown eyes, as did my slightly younger sister. Needless to say, I was *much* relieved when I was almost twelve and my baby brother was born--with my blonde hair and blue eyes.

Oddest, cheapest? My ex-mother-in-law was rich and gave me a candle in the shape of a poinsettia :rollseyes: Then again, she gave my ex a shaving kit two years in a row.
