Usually right on time. I hate being late.

How would you describe your personality?

I guess I'm sort of shy if I'm around people I don't know but once I'm among friends I loosen up, a lot. My friends look at me as the one who usually has the quick remark to almost everything they say. Hate to say it but I've been called the classic "nice guy" for as long as I can recall. Sometimes that has it's advantages but not always.

Would you ask a friend to borrow their car if your was in the shop or would you rent one instead of asking to borrow theirs?

Tough one, I'm usually a beer guy but I'll go with wine here.

Mail usually.

no we are only in a flat/unit so it make it hard..

When do you put up your Xmas tree?

This year we won't put one up. Other years we tend to do it around the end of the first week of December, and take it down a week or two after new years.


Do you have a favorite holiday carol?

Not really a carol but "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" always makes me smile.

Do like to have a white Christmas or could you get by without the snow?

White Christmas is good. I wonder if we'll get one in Jerusalem? :)

What's your favorite sleeping position?

Sort of fetal position, usually on my right side with a couple of pillows under my head. Sometimes a pillow between my knees if my bum left knee is bothering me and the dog hasn't stolen it.

Do you think you can cook as well as your mom?

Actually, I think I cook much better :D My mom is more of a "functional" cook (read: meatloaf and tuna noodle casserole). I am more of a fancy cook, and even when I don't cook fancy I use lots of spices and exciting ingredients


Would you rather live alone, or have a roomate?

Depends on who the roommate is. :hot:

I do ok by myself, but I don't take very good care of me.

Bath beads are my friend. Other than that, I occasionally buy myself a "fun" book -- and I go read it int he bath tub. :D


Do you like poetry? If yes, who are some of your favorite poets?

Yes I do but admittedly I haven't really read much since back in my college days. My favorite poet is Robert Frost but I find a Shakespearean sonnet is always good as well.

Is there any profession that you wish you would have chosen instead of what you are currently doing?

I love my job, but I've always wanted to be a forest ranger. I love being outdoors and I like that whole river & woods thing.

Japan, in a low-rent hipster enclave of a major city.

Whatever is cute. Right now I have a boot fetish and love my black suede with the 3 inch heels.


What color do you wear that gets the most compliments?

Blue I suppose. I've got blue eyes and I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I wear a lot of red...bright red and the more muted ruby color. Both set off my fair skin and green eyes. ;)

Do you plan on buying yourself a holiday present this year? What?

Usually I don't but I'm thinking maybe I could use a digital camera. Then again if I did that I'd probably end up putting pics of myself up here. :shrug:

Are there any family members or old friends you're going to see over the holiday that you're really excited about?

I get to see my grandpa -- who is my favorite relative. There's a pic of him floating around somewhere in the "Random Picture" thread

Gotta be mom. I don't get to see her much anymore, she's out in the L.A. area and I'm back here in Iowa but I talk to her at least once a week and email her everyday. Of course, dad has to print up the emails and give them to her because she refuses to even look at the computer. :)

Did you spend your entire childhood in the same place or did you move around?

I moved around some. Born in Dallas, TX, and then spent some time in Newark, OH. We lost our house -- I ended up spending a few months in Brunswick, ME with family. Then we ended up back in Ohio -- Granville and then Fairborn -- until I graduated high school.

Born in Cedar Rapids, IA and lived on a farm outside Onlslow, IA for the first 11 years. Mom and dad divorced and we moved from Onslow to another small town in the same school district where I lived until I graduated high school and went on to college.

Do you still keep in touch with your very first ever best friend?

Nope...I lost touch with Samantha in college. I do, however, keep in close touch with my first ever boyfriend/first love.

Do you tend to stay friends after you stop dating someone? WHy or why not?

No, not usually. I'm not really sure why it is though. I think it goes back to getting cheated on by my fiance when I was in college. From there I never really even considered dating any women with whom I was really good friends.
