IowaMan 02-01-2007 07:25 AM

You know what, it's been so long since I've had the pleasure of sharing a bed with a lady that I forget what breakfast in bed is like. I'd feel sort of strange making it and just having the one person in bed eating it.

Do you like to cook?

IAKaraokeGirl 02-01-2007 08:37 AM

Yes, although I don't have as much time for it as I wish I did. When I do cook, though, I'm usually well-complimented.

What do you find most annoying on a regular basis?

IowaMan 02-01-2007 08:49 AM

My health. No doubt about it, I don't know what to expect from one day to the next. Feels like a good day today though. :D

What would be your dream job?

Miss-Honey-Bee 02-01-2007 09:02 AM

Working in the PR department at MTV. Or to be in Girls Aloud LOL

What would be your worst job?

IowaMan 02-01-2007 09:10 AM

Hmmmm, worst job........ I guess I'd have to say being a funeral director. I don't know that I could handle all of the sadness all the time.

When and where was your last vacation?

IAKaraokeGirl 02-01-2007 12:57 PM

My trip back home (Kentucky) for a late Christmas. I'm hopefully going away for the weekend this month, though.

What's the one thing you buy to spoil yourself?

IowaMan 02-01-2007 10:26 PM

Hmmm, tough one. I guess sometimes I go a little crazy at the meat counter and get an expensive cut of steak that I really could do without. That's not very often though.

What's your favorite soft drink?

IAKaraokeGirl 02-01-2007 10:27 PM

Well, if I'm being good, then it's Diet Dr. Pepper. If not, Sprite or Pepsi.

What thoughts keep you awake at night (generalities are okay)?

IowaMan 02-01-2007 10:33 PM

Hi IAKG  (That's not what keeps me awake, just saying hi.)

Well, usually it's something to do with health, money or the hope of finding true love.

Same question for you.

dicksbro 02-02-2007 05:23 AM

Worrying about our kids when they're having any difficulties (health, finances, or whatever).

Same question one more time.

IowaMan 02-04-2007 08:39 AM

The last few nights it has been thoughts of if/when my cystic fibrosis is going to cause me to have liver problems and diabetes to go along with the lung and digestive problems I've already got. And I'm wondering if I'll be strong enough to fight it when it does happen.

What's your favorite movie?

dicksbro 02-05-2007 04:35 AM

So many ... it's really hard to pick. I have consistently loved West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof ... they those are two 'definitely on the list' films.

What's your favorite snack food?

IowaMan 02-06-2007 04:57 PM

Hmmm, that's a very tough one. I love chips & salsa or queso, caramel corn is great, but I think I'll go with pretzels. With a bit of cheddar cheese dip.

You have the license plate number of your car(s) committed to memory.

dicksbro 02-08-2007 04:19 AM

Yep

You know the names of your grand-parents parents.

wyndhy 02-08-2007 04:00 PM

not all of them

you can name at least five different heads of state (your own not included)

IowaMan 02-09-2007 08:21 AM

I'm absolutely shocked and embarrassed to admit it but I don't believe that I can. :(

Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? And if so, have you kept them?

dicksbro 02-10-2007 05:12 AM

I did not make any and, as a result, this is one year I've avoided breaking any. :D

Can you name three presidential hopefuls from both the Republican and Democratic parties?

IowaMan 02-10-2007 07:14 AM

Democrats yes but for some reason I'm only coming up with two for the Republicans.

Do you remember the name of your first school teacher?

dicksbro 02-10-2007 07:49 AM

No, not the name ... but I remember her. I was in kindergarten in Feudenheim, Germany (suburb of Mannheim) at the time.

Did or do you have any favorite aunts and uncles?

IowaMan 02-10-2007 08:13 AM

My mom was an only child and my dad just had the one sister so I guess I'd better say Aunt Mary. We weren't really that close though.

Do you remember your first "real" kiss?

dicksbro 02-10-2007 08:18 AM

Yep. I do. I was in 9th grade and it was at the "Teen-Age" club for military dependent kids in Sendai, Japan.

Do you remember the first time you "drove" a car?

IowaMan 02-10-2007 08:21 AM

Yep, it was my very first day of driver's ed class and I was scared to death.

What's the last movie you saw in the theater?

dicksbro 02-11-2007 04:50 AM

Flushed Away

Which is the last fast food restaurant you ate at?

IowaMan 02-11-2007 09:37 AM

I stopped at a Subway yesterday.

Do you subscribe to the local newspaper?

Lilith 02-11-2007 10:22 AM

Yep yep. Both at home and at school!

Do you watch live local sports much?

IowaMan 02-11-2007 10:26 AM

Absolutely. I try to go to all of the home football games for the local high school and love watching the baseball games during the summer.

Been to any good concerts lately?

Lilith 02-11-2007 10:28 AM

:D absofreakinglutely, Buffett

Have you ever considered being a parrot head?

IowaMan 02-11-2007 10:33 AM

Radio Margaritaville is on right now as a matter of fact. :)

Do you ever just go to a shopping mall to watch people?

btw, glad you had a great time at the show Lil. :nana:

dicksbro 02-12-2007 03:09 AM

Well ... I don't know if that was the only reason, but I have been at the mall and sat down (the wife was shopping) and just watched the people zipping by one way or the other.

Do you prefer ice cream in a cone or a cup?

IowaMan 02-12-2007 05:57 AM

Doesn't make much difference to me really. I really like sugar cones though.

Do you prefer for a chocolate shake/malt to be made with chocolate or vanilla ice cream?

dicksbro 02-12-2007 06:41 AM

I tend to the vanilla ice cream.

Do you prefer to carefully map out a trip beforehand ... or play it by ear once you get going?

IowaMan 02-13-2007 02:18 AM

I plan it out but I will make the occasional "change on the fly" if something comes up that isn't scheduled and it looks to be fun/interesting.

When was the last time you went to a concert?

rabbit 02-24-2007 05:11 PM

Last year.

Do you have a favorite baseball team?

dicksbro 02-25-2007 04:19 AM

As an adult, I haven't closely follow sports (although I enjoy the games I watch), but I used to live in Baltimore and the Orioles have been a sentimental favorite ever since. (We were there when the Browns moved from St. Louis to Baltimore and became the Orioles.)

Have you ever driven a semi?

IowaMan 02-27-2007 02:36 AM

Nope, about the closest I've come is the 24' U-Haul I used to move my stuff this past May. That was an automatic tranny though. Not sure I could handle the shifting of a true big rig. Not right off the bat anyway.

You ever been to Vegas?

1nutworld 03-08-2007 10:17 PM

Nope, I never have, but sometime I am going to make it there.

You've driven across the country, because you changed jobs.

IowaMan 03-08-2007 11:09 PM

Nope, not because I've changed jobs.

Have you ever been to a live taping of a television show?

dicksbro 03-09-2007 01:13 AM

Not unless you're counting a news story kind of program. We've been on a few of those over the years.

Have you ever designed a home for yourself and had it subsequently built?

IowaMan 03-09-2007 06:38 AM

Nope, but it has always sort of been a dream of mine. In my mind I could design a 2007 version of a Frank Lloyd Wright home for the family on a tight budget. Sort of a mini wonderland of architecture.

Do you usually remember your dreams when you wake up?

ReaperWoman 03-09-2007 10:48 AM

Sometimes. Occasionally I write them down as soon as I wake up to remember them. It's fun looking back on them later, jogging your memoruy of all the weird things.

On the same note, do you think you'd be classified "insane" if you explained your averge dream to someone?
