It was too cold to go for a walk this morning, but I found a station wth the price at $3.88. Wouldn't drive there just for that, but it was nice to save a little bit since I was there.

IowaMan 05-16-2008 03:08 PM

$3.59/gal. this morning here.

PantyFanatic 05-16-2008 03:59 PM

Just traded a picture of Grant ($US50) for 13 gal. of gas.

...... and it's TOTAL bullshit and greed.

Fact~

There is NO shortage!

This is a system out of control and could easily begin it's end. When pressure exceeds the strength of the support it will exert high stress on many parts until it crushes the weakest point. As we feel the squeeze, remember the very bottom is being strangled to death. Do not be shocked when hungry people are burning in the streets.

:2cents:

scotzoidman 05-16-2008 09:46 PM

The price/gallon wasn't the thing this evening, but the fact that it nearly hit the $60 mark to fill the tank...that scares the hell outta me!

PantyFanatic 05-16-2008 09:52 PM

It should for more than one reason.

dicksbro 05-17-2008 02:13 PM

Went to see "Narnia: Prince Caspian" today at the mega-theatre in Pekin. Filled the car at a nearby station for $3.86/gal. That's nine cents less than here but hardly a bargain. :(

Pita 05-17-2008 06:10 PM

We have 20 pumps where I work and it's one of the busiest stations, next to that of Walmart. I hate seeing what a struggle it is for so many people, especially the college students who are often deciding between gas and eating. We also have a large Mexican population that come in every morning as they start their day and the gas prices are really hitting them hard. Then there is the elderly who are on fixed incomes and regale us with the, "I remember when," stories.

I agree with PF, this is BULLSHIT!!!

jseal 05-17-2008 06:16 PM

If gas prices impress you now, wait until the carbon emission limits begin to take effect!

Thanks SODA and SC. Handy sites.

A $.37/gal. difference is 10%. I'm SURE each one can 'justify' that too.

dicksbro 05-21-2008 02:59 AM

$3.86 yesterday in Mackinaw (about 15 miles from here). It's near where I go for many of my walks in the park.

IowaMan 05-21-2008 06:54 PM

$3.61/gal. here today for the ethanol blend.

dicksbro 05-28-2008 04:59 AM

$3.97 in Pekin yesterday ... still around $4.09 here. :(

Angers me that the congress that went in hasn' done a &#$@ thing to help after telling us they had a "plan." Baloney. They probably bought more oil stocks. As a matter of fact, I don't think they've done a @$@$ thing about anything. A bunch of worthless creeps.

IowaMan 05-29-2008 09:57 PM

$3.84/gal. here today.

sodaklostsoul 05-29-2008 10:51 PM

osuche 05-30-2008 12:21 AM

Still hovering around $3.97 (up to $4.06) as of yesterday afternoon. :(

dicksbro 05-30-2008 03:10 PM

Just (half) filled my wife's car. $40.00. :tear:

bh4229 05-31-2008 06:02 AM

i am having to sell sperm to fill up my truck!!! ok....actually i am fucking the convenience store clerk and we trade out in gas! :)....ok..maybe NOT! It is about $3.89 here in Houston...but i wish I was fucking the clerk.

Scarecrow 05-31-2008 04:48 PM

I got a free tank of gas

the dealer though it in with the new Jeep. :roflmao:

dicksbro 06-01-2008 02:40 AM

$3.97 when I filled up yesterday. Ironically, it was at the station that normally is the highest price. The other stations were more. :(

jseal 06-01-2008 05:21 AM

$3.85 / gal here last night.

Perhaps doing nothing to prevent or alleviate increased prices were part of Congress’ plans to reduce carbon emissions.

$4.18 - $4.21 range in Chicago this weekend.

dicksbro 06-09-2008 05:42 AM

Looks like a few stations in Peoria are at $3.85. $3.88 was the lowest I saw here.

WildIrish 06-09-2008 09:09 PM

I paid $4.35 a gallon for the "cheap" stuff this morning. Highest price for regular gas in CT is currenty $4.89 a gallon.

I must admit...Jezebel is a lot easier to feed than Rufus. ha ha

dicksbro 06-09-2008 09:43 PM

Spoke too soon when I last posted. $3.92 is what I paid this afternoon. My normal low-priced station was actually higher. :(

Scarecrow 06-09-2008 10:28 PM

back up to $3.99

scotzoidman 06-10-2008 11:42 AM

Wife filled up Sunday @ $3.95/gal...yesterday when I had to fill up, it was up to $3.99.

*and if it goes up any more, I'll be hitting the $70 mark per fill up*

sodaklostsoul 06-10-2008 01:09 PM

Paid $4.08 yesterday.

dicksbro 06-14-2008 12:24 PM

I saw one station at $3.95 this morning but held off filling the tank. Probably wil regret it because the station nearest our home was at $4.14. :(

jseal 06-15-2008 03:37 PM

$3.96/gal in Baltimore

dicksbro 06-17-2008 05:35 PM

In town here it's at $4.08 and that's down from $4.14 yesterday. :(

Lord Snow 06-17-2008 05:46 PM

Here in Tennessee it's well a little over 3.80 a gallon. Took $32.01 for 8.359 gallons in my car. However, to lower my gas bill, my cousin and I who happen to work in the same warehouse, car pool. I drive for two weeks, he drives for two weeks. That way I fill up only 2 maybe three times a month. I don't go anywhere.

Pita 06-17-2008 08:10 PM

$3.99 when I left work today.

jay-t 06-17-2008 09:21 PM

$3.67 here at wally world

gekkogecko 06-18-2008 11:00 AM

$4.27. Fuckin' ouch, people.

dicksbro 06-18-2008 08:09 PM

Saw $4.05 this afternoon at a local station.

andyhart 06-18-2008 09:54 PM

I read an article that said the prices would level off around 4.15, but the gas station across the street is $4.27 for credit card and 4.17 for cash. So much for leveling off.
