WHat's your favorite thing to do with your so?

dicksbro 06-04-2007 03:27 AM

Almost anything as long as it's together. I suppose walks in the park, going out to dinner, and going to the movies together are high on the list.

What do you like to do on weekends?

Coaster 06-04-2007 10:26 AM

Putter in my veggie garden, putt golf balls, and put Mrs Coaster to bed wet and worn out!....... hmmmm, I see a pattern there...........

How about you?

osuche 06-04-2007 10:27 AM

Play on the computer, go to the gym, and catch up on projects I didn't finish during the week....sometimes I even go to school!

Coaster 06-04-2007 10:42 AM

Would you ever want to go to the Indy 500 or Daytona 500?

Coaster 06-04-2007 07:38 PM

Would you (if you're a woman) or would you take your woman (if you're a man)to a classy evening event sans underwear?

IowaMan 06-04-2007 08:18 PM

Me not wearing it or her not wearing it? Guess it doesn't really matter, if she was comfortable with either then I would be as well.

You went to a huge fireworks display on July 4, 1976.

Scarecrow 06-04-2007 09:33 PM

I was 25 and single, yeah it was huge fireworks....

Do you think man will return to the moon in the year 2020

Coaster 06-04-2007 09:44 PM

oh yeah.......

Tell us about the time you saw fireworks...... in your bedroom!

dicksbro 06-06-2007 02:05 AM

We had just got back from Indiana and I set the sack in the closet so the kids wouldn't find them. Then, on the 4th, we took them out to the back yard and shot off a few.

:)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your town's fireworks displays (where 10 is absolutely fabulous and 1 is little or none)?

GreenChef 06-06-2007 02:19 AM

11 We have the Benson and Hedges International Fireworks Competition every summer about 10 shows over 5 or 6 weeks, each one lasting 45 mins or so, I forget the ridiculous amount of money each display costs.

Haven't been in at least 2 years gonna try this summer... (it's been going on for at least 15 yrs, hard to get people motivated to go fight the crowds, we've all seen it)

What was the biggest display you've ever seen?

dicksbro 06-06-2007 05:49 AM

On television, it has to be Louisville's "Thunder on the Ohio." I understand it's the largest annual fireworks display in the world and draws experts from China and Japan to learn witness the event. In person, it was probably one we saw in Sendai, Japan back in 1955. Fantastic display. Recently, it's Peoria's display each fourth of July. They really put on a great show that lasts around 30 minutes. Draws folks from all around the area.

When's the last time you shot off a firecracker?

IowaMan 06-06-2007 03:25 PM

Dec. 15........... I want to say 1997 or '98. I remember it because it was a bottle rocket and it ended up hitting me in the foot. :yikes:

Fangtasia 06-10-2007 07:51 AM

Yes

What is your hobby?

dicksbro 06-11-2007 05:39 AM

Collecting 1/18th scale model cars and photography are probably my two biggest hobbies.

How about you?

IowaMan 06-11-2007 06:59 AM

I've got a large collection of baseball cards but haven't actively been collecting in years.

What is your favorite comfort food and why?

IowaMan 06-13-2007 08:14 AM

IowaMan 06-13-2007 11:14 PM

No, I really do like wine now so I won't have to fake it.

Do you find that some of the best meals you've ever had have been at "greasy spoons"?

GreenChef 06-13-2007 11:15 PM

I've had some great ones, but I can't say greasy spoons have been the best

What was one of your most memorable meals?

Lilith 06-13-2007 11:15 PM

Do you have a favorite chair?

IowaMan 06-13-2007 11:20 PM

I do have a favorite chair but unfortunately it's not in my house.

My favorite meal was a surf-n-turf at a place called the Northwoods Inn in Long Beach, CA. The filet was absolutely perfect and it was the first time I'd ever had lobster. Didn't like it at the time but I've grown to crave it over the years. An incredible garlic mashed potato dish too. :slurp:

What do you think you'd order for "your last meal"?

GreenChef 06-13-2007 11:20 PM

I just recently got one of those Poang Chairs from Ikea and it is so comfortable

the left side or the right?
