Certainly revolutions can be justified ... but that doesn't, IMHO, justify the distruction of property or life for those innocent of the causes of the revolution. I undertand, some collateral damage may occur, but wanton destruction of property and theft of goods goes a bit over the top.

I expect that the Euro, as a trans European currency, will not last another two years.

I think it used to be, but, money seems to have become the goal and ruin of it ... at least at the university and pro level.

There may be exceptions ... but ... I'm afraid not many.

No. Public Nudity remains alien to society.

More harm. I think it is the illusion of safety. That, plus cost and massive inconvenience means that I will not be flying if I can help it.

I would ask for a rare filet mignon with seared foie gras and black truffles. A glass or two of Burgandy with that, and I'd be able to say "Au revoir.''

I go through periodic bouts of misanthropy about every 6 months or so when I wonder yet again how it can be so hard for people to just be decent to each other; not saintly--I'd be thrilled with decent.

Usually buy them as needed, although someetimes my wife picks up an extra or two.

Yes, I do, just about every day.

No not really.

Yeah, I've done that ... wondered what something would have been like if a different choice had been make at some point.

Not usually, but on occassion, yes.



Who has influenced you the most in your life?

Probably my husband. We have been together nearly 22 years. That's given him a lot of time to rub off on me...so to speak. ;)

Would you turn back the clock on your age if you could?

In general, no. There are things I wish I'd done differently ... for example, I wish I'd never started smoking; but, on the whole no. I've had what I think has been a pretty good life ... great parents; I've seen a lot of the world; a lot of the US; have a wife that I've shared 49 years with and I wouldn't trade for anything and together we share a strong and common faith; our two families (hers and mine) have meshed together wonderfully; we have seven great kids, nine wonderful grand-children and one terrific great-grandson; a good career; and, so far ... a wonderful retirement. Couldn't ask for much more than that.

Would you like to live anywhere else more than where you live now?

No, I'm 10 mins from the most beautiful iconic coastline in europe, and 1hr from London. I'm well travelled, but for me good old' England can't be bettered.

What was the last selfless act you did for someone?

Took a beautiful lady to the movie she most wanted to see.
