Not yet.

You can learn a lot about humans by studying History.

dicksbro 07-06-2011 03:27 AM

True.

You've been out to dinner recently.

Fangtasia 08-14-2011 01:13 AM

Nope, not lately

Whats your hobby?

dicksbro 08-14-2011 02:07 AM

I've shared this before, but 1/18th scale car models.

Do you sometimes go out not wearing underwear?

Fangtasia 08-14-2011 02:18 AM

Oh definately, quite often

What do you find gross?

dicksbro 08-15-2011 04:24 AM

Scat and politics. Yuck.

How do you feel about people who riot claiming to be protesting something ... but do damage and loot private businesses that are not what's being protested?

Unless they are looting food or water, ...... shoot anybody with merchandise or property in their hand.

If you don't think rioting is just, do you think revolution can ever be justified?

dicksbro 08-16-2011 02:27 AM

Certainly revolutions can be justified ... but that doesn't, IMHO, justify the distruction of property or life for those innocent of the causes of the revolution. I undertand, some collateral damage may occur, but wanton destruction of property and theft of goods goes a bit over the top.

While I disliked the heat, I'm sure not looking forward to winter. How about you?

jseal 08-31-2011 01:10 PM

Yes indeed! Were it not for the changing seasons, the weather would be dull indeed.

I expect that the Euro, as a trans European currency, will not last another two years.

dicksbro 09-03-2011 01:56 AM

Not sure that it won't go a bit longer than that, but, I'm not sure it'll continue for too many years.

Hot days are good for being lazy, aren't they?

PantyFanatic 09-03-2011 09:07 AM

HOT days are good for nothing unless you are green and leafy.

dicksbro 09-04-2011 03:43 AM

Hot things can also be good for lovemaking. :D

dicksbro 09-13-2011 02:22 AM

HOT toast is good with coffee.

Do you like to see your favorite cartoon characters in sex cartoons?

gigi 05-17-2012 03:41 PM

Not really. I've never really gotten into that.

Is this a forgotten thread? :)

AZRedHot 05-17-2012 06:08 PM

It must be...this is the first I've ever seen it, and I've been here for 8 years.

Do you think the culture of sports is a healthy one?

dicksbro 05-18-2012 01:12 AM

I think it used to be, but, money seems to have become the goal and ruin of it ... at least at the university and pro level.

There may be exceptions ... but ... I'm afraid not many.

Do you think areas in parks and on beaches should allow public nudity?

jseal 05-28-2012 08:12 AM

No. Public Nudity remains alien to society.

Do you think the changes made to airport security since 9/11 have done more harm than good?

gigi 05-28-2012 03:45 PM

More harm. I think it is the illusion of safety. That, plus cost and massive inconvenience means that I will not be flying if I can help it.

What would be your "last supper"?

jseal 06-08-2012 04:32 PM

I would ask for a rare filet mignon with seared foie gras and black truffles. A glass or two of Burgandy with that, and I'd be able to say "Au revoir.''

How often does the world "get to you"?

AZRedHot 06-08-2012 06:14 PM

I go through periodic bouts of misanthropy about every 6 months or so when I wonder yet again how it can be so hard for people to just be decent to each other; not saintly--I'd be thrilled with decent.

Do you buy sympathy cards as needed, or do you always keep several on hand?

dicksbro 06-11-2012 04:58 AM

Have you ever had serious second thoughts about what seemed 'so right' at the time?

kleclere 07-01-2012 08:41 PM

No not really.

Have you ever thought about what might be?

dicksbro 07-05-2012 05:27 AM

Yeah, I've done that ... wondered what something would have been like if a different choice had been make at some point.

Do you ever start projects but then somehow lose interest before you finish them?

jseal 07-08-2012 03:07 PM

Not usually, but on occassion, yes.

Who has influenced you the most in your life?

AZRedHot 07-08-2012 04:56 PM

Probably my husband. We have been together nearly 22 years. That's given him a lot of time to rub off on me...so to speak. ;)

Would you turn back the clock on your age if you could?

dicksbro 07-09-2012 02:27 AM

In general, no. There are things I wish I'd done differently ... for example, I wish I'd never started smoking; but, on the whole no. I've had what I think has been a pretty good life ... great parents; I've seen a lot of the world; a lot of the US; have a wife that I've shared 49 years with and I wouldn't trade for anything and together we share a strong and common faith; our two families (hers and mine) have meshed together wonderfully; we have seven great kids, nine wonderful grand-children and one terrific great-grandson; a good career; and, so far ... a wonderful retirement. Couldn't ask for much more than that.

Would you like to live anywhere else more than where you live now?

BaronVonDiver 07-10-2012 06:47 PM

No, I'm 10 mins from the most beautiful iconic coastline in europe, and 1hr from London. I'm well travelled, but for me good old' England can't be bettered.

What was the last selfless act you did for someone?

kleclere 07-11-2012 06:58 PM
