No. It actually took a hell of a lot of scrubbing and very delicate scratching to get it off. It is off now though, so I may not get beheaded (yet). |
Thank goodness I have terrible or terrific fantasies about you urr....... forget all that but the headless thing would just ruin it

My youngest devil spawn! He decided to store up a gawd knows how longs worth of washing and dump it all out in the laundry today....shit shit shit! Here's me thinking i was finally making headway with the pile, until he piled his crap on it and its now back upto the roof!

I havn't driven in Massachusets in a long time, but the last time, they STILL called traffic circles-roundabouts! Irish  |
Waking up, getting dressed, driving all the way to work, cleaning for an hour and then I got told that I could either stay and clean for 12 hrs, or go home. WTF! I'm happy I'm home, but couldn't they....I don't know......call me last night and say I don't have to get up in the morning?
|
That it does absolutely no good to report automated calls to the FTC's Do Not Call list...been on the list since it first started, & the calls just get more frequent now.
|
Being told I can not see him in jail because I'm not his "family." Well his dad is incarcerated for life. He was taken away from his drug addict mom and has been off and on in foster care placements for most of his life. I spent 8 hours a day with him, every day. I'm the closest thing he has to "family." WTF!
|
You are his responsible adult.
Doesn't that trump "family"? |
Not per the Juvee Probation Officer.
|
Worth asking his boss?

Actually going to see if I can get it court ordered. There is a court hearing on the 16th. |
Good luck.
Kids need every opportunity for a miracle. |

OMG, that's simply terrible, I'd be much worse than pissed off with that situation. |

On our phones, they say on the back, who the call is from!My wife looks there & if it's not someone she wants to talk with(ex-Daughters)she just lets it ring! After 4 rings, you can leave a message, but they never do.At first, the Do Not Call list seemed to work, but lately it's worthless! Irish :thumb: |
oh it is sooo great to know that daily things get under everyone's skin. Not just mine. I can honestly just breath.
not to pissy today...just that I can get the kids motivated since I am not motivated myself...IT IS JUST TOOOOO FREAKIN HOT...with 4 days in a row of triple digit heat...yard work is so out of the question and then when you can get out there you have to play a version of "beat the dark" or learn to tape flashlights onto your lawnmower and try to finish that way. And then you dont want to even look at the inside of the house...it just never gets clean. |
2 things:
1) A coworker that seems unable to work around anyone without being almost underfoot all the time, unable to understand how to have an appropriate conversation based on who happens to be around (i.e., he has a tendency to talk, loudly about sex and drugs when either the homeowners or small children are around), unable to shut up (the guy is always talking and/or singing (very badly), and thinks he knows more than he actually does (and doesn't have the landscaping knowledge he should have, especially if he really did run a landscaping crew for a few years like he says he did). Unfortunately, he is also a good friend of the boss' :curse: 2) Pissed off at myself for working faster than a probaly should have been trying to finish a project up at work. This led to me half ripping off a finger nail when I accidentally rammed my index finger into a wall block while trying to set a cap block on top. |
I know about people like that shadows......my problem is technically she's my boss even though she doesn't actually do anything to help like she's supposed to. I'm better qualified to do her job, but since she's friends with the higher ups..........
Only thing ticking me off at the moment is my best friend hurt his leg and back a few days ago and his mother and grandmother are trying to force him into being a bearer for a friend of the family's casket. I just don't like seeing friends in situations like that. |
A motherfucker (or some motherfuckers) with a metal detector dug 377 holes on my site.
          |
Why don't you ^^^ tell us how you REALLY feel about it.
 Sorry to hear that hun. :console: Sometimes technology brings ignorance to the top of the pile. |
Hearing my ex has nits again and will probably pass them on to my daughter AGAIN!

Yeh, I have caller ID too, but these %$#&^ call when I'm busy, away from the phone, & I have to stop what I'm doing just to make sure it's not someone I want or need to talk to. This a.m. it was one that just said "out of area", no # ID, so I can't even report them... |
Bureaucratic mix-ups
|
Getting my finger caught in the swining door of one of the undercounter garbage cans at work.
|
Someone mowed over the electrical cord of the filter for my brand new pool I bought last week. I am livid.
|
That ^^^ should be cheap and easy to repair  AND not hard to find the culprite.:whack:
|
You're right... it should be easy to splice back together. But I'm gonna go complain to the people who run this place as soon as they are there when I get home from work.
|
Splice HELL!
![]() You said it was for a pool and happened with a mower. I'm assuming it is outdoor application. You want a complete new cable reinstalled AT THE CONNECTIONS with weather tight fittings. (Still cheap as hell) You may not want somebody with a pocket knife and a roll of electrical tape making a 'repair' for outdoor conductors. |
Yes, you don't want to explore the downside of "snap crackle pop".

Idiot Animal Owner!!!
2 weeks ago we had an owner come in with an emergency. He had 2 Dachs that he left tied outside (he fell asleep for 4 hours). When we woke up and remembered the dogs, he found them all tangled up together in their cords. The male had strangled to death and the female was barely alive. She came in and her body temp was a good bit below normal, couldn't walk, was unresponsive, and we put her on IV fluids immediately. The owner felt horrible (as he should!). She was hospitalized and sent home after a few days....
This week, she came back in. Her owner noticed that she had developed a black spot on her hip that seemed to be getting larger. When he was told to bring her in, he said he would just "keep an eye on it." About 5 days later, when she was finally brought in it was HORRIBLE. I saw her in the waiting room (briefly) and saw a black stripe running the full length of her side. It was a quick glance and I thought maybe it was road rash from being hit by a car. Wednesday morning: I arrived to do boarding. When I saw her in the hospital cage I was floored. She was wrapped from shoulders to hip in bandage. Blood had soaked through it and she smelled awful (I call it the "death smell."). The doctor came in later that morning so that she and I could take care of her wounds. I almost threw up when she took off the bandages (and I have a pretty strong stomach). This dog's ENTIRE side, from shoulder to hip and from spine to just above her underside was skinless. There aren't words to describe this dog's injuries. I meant to take pictures of her but she was picked up before I got time to. The edge where there was no skin meeting with skin that was left was black. She also had a line (about 1/2" wide and the length of her body) on the other side. The doctor was able to flush under her skin via holes where the tissue was dying. By the next day, the black line was thicker. The doctor said the smell was from all the dead and dying skin tissue. She would need her wounds debrided (we cleaned with a Water Pic to remove dead tissue) twice a day for the next 4 weeks. She had already had surgery to remove large portions of dead tissue and I suspect she'll have to go through that again. the doctor thinks she will lose all the skin from her head down to her legs and tail. The owner came and picker her up yesterday with instructions on how to care for her. Considering what he has already caused, I will be surprised if this critter makes it. To be honest, I think she should have been euthanized rather than be put through this. We aren't sure of what caused it but the top 2 possibilities are: 1. The cord was so tight around her body for such a long time that blood flow was restricted from getting around to the skin tissues 2. He used a heating pad and placed her directly on it. If she was as weak as she was when she came in, she wouldn't have been able to move herself off of it, causing burns. I tried to find some pics online the kind of show what she looked like. She looked MUCH worse than the pics I could find. Burned skin: http://www.all-creatures.org/ha/jikken/dogBurned.html We also started to clean her teeth. We stopped when we thought that the plaque was the only thing keeping them from falling out. You could actually see the root of her teeth, through to the other side. See the bottom pic at this page: http://www.veterinarydentalcenter.com/periodontal.htm This dog is young. She is 5 years old and not spayed...what a wonderful owner. |
I forgot to add...
When all this first happened he said he felt guilt. When he brought her in looking like a burn victim, he said he didn't feel guilty anymore...WTF?!?!??! |
This is one of those cases where I agree, the animal should have been put down and the owner tied up in a sack and drowned. Now granted with a larger dog I feel you lay down the law on the spot, but a little dog like you keep pampered and spoiled like a lap cat. There is no excuse for any animal to have that happen.

WTF indeed! :( Some people are beyond belief! :banghead: |
Yeah, when I saw him walk by I wanted to punch him in the head (and that's the very LEAST I wanted to do to him). Despite being in so much pain, that little dog is a GOOD dog!
|
|
That's kind of a surprise after all the dog has been through. I can think of a lot of my animals over the years that were closer to the mean when they were sick or injured.. Kind of par for the course when you can't explain that what you have to do will be uncomfortable but will make them feel better.
