Probably our cat, Pokey. His mommy brought him to us when he was a baby (that's the truth ... she stayed for a few weeks, then left with Pokey still with us). We had him about seven years before he died. Still miss the little guy. :(

pink right now...but the owner just had someone come measure the house so I don't know what it will be next.

No, not really. It's big enough, though, and has a huge maple tree shading most of it and the back enclosed porch/dining room.

Did you like high school?

Actually, I did. It was fun being a geek. I was in choir and theater. Really did enjoy it, but wouldn't go back.

Did you go to college?

I'm a lifelong student. Started out in engineering school, switched to a major in history to teach high school, was accepted to law school, didn't go...in California I went to court reporting school, in Iowa I worked towards a degree in elementary education.

One day I'll know what I want to be when I grow up. ;)

Where in your house is your favorite place to relax?

In my bed. I love my bed. We have a king sized bed with a feather bed on top, flannel sheets in the winter, and a down comforter...

Cleaning the basement. :(

Autumn-
There seems to be a sense of satisfaction with the crisp air that is a relief after the sweltering days of summer. The trees are in their most brilliant color, our larders and bellies are full and all of us animals feel frisky. Yep. I like the Fall.:D

With “fascinating” being the key word, one of the individuals that I know more than fable about is Jacques-Yves Cousteau. (1910-1997) His total life involvement and dedication to his curiosity was never diverted by the realities of precedence, business, faineances, international politics or hazard. From being a tinkerier and inventor of SCUBA itself in his twenties, to working through and past the worst of cold-war restrictions and borders, he remained the head of a focused purpose to explore the truly unknown that is all around us. He turned the need for sponsorship and underwriting into his greatest ability to communicate and relate to the masses. Very fascinating person to me.:rolleyes: The motto on the Calypso's (his ship) was "We must go and see for ourselves"
