Try using peppermint sticks. It satisfies the oral fixation and the need to have something in your hand.
Also, my husband swears masterbation will cure anything - perhaps you should try that when you get a craving.... good luck! |

and i'd say that quitting together is better than alone. not only have you got the i-totally-know-how-you-feel support but it would be even harder to quit if someone you're around all the time was still smoking. if you don't like the candy/gum idea try celery or carrot sticks., if you can't do it cold turkey, don't feel dicouraged. lots of people can't do it the first time but are succesful after a few tries. and lots need the nicotine gums and patches. take and use all the help you can get. |

I've never had any luck quitting using any kind of a substitute, tho as an older friend once told me, "someday, you WILL quit smoking...whether you do it on your own is your call"...recently, tho, all 3 smokers in the house have cut back a great deal...see, we're trying to spruce up the house one room at a time, & after taking 3 coats of paint to cover the brown stained walls, the mrs declared that we would all have to take the smoking outside...this includes her as well, & with heat & humidity at sauna levels, we all wait a little longer until we absolutely HAVE to have a puff...
