Magnolias, damn shame they won't grow up here.

We have two types of magnolias here. We have the large traditional lemon-scented white ones with leathery leaves and the pretty pink Japanese variety which heralds in the spring with it's flowers long before the new leaf buds appear.

Loved driving down to Fla. from Pa. and when we got to Georgia we started seeing/smelling the magnolia's. Closest thing we have to your gardens Shar is a place called Longwood Gardens. Open year round but I haven't been there in years. You might have inspired me to make a day trip. |
