Mine is space bars or space food...back in the early 70's you could buy them in boxes at the grocery. They were cylindrical and individually packaged ...

OMG Lilith... Astronaut sticks!!! I loved those when I was a kid... haven't had one since I was 6 or 7. Maybe even 5. I think they were about 4-5 inches long. And pretty slim from what I remember, like a pencil or a little bigger maybe. Nice to know I'm not the only one that remembers those things... ;)

Clint I have the entire card series. My brother worked at 7-11 and got tons of cards for us. Now if only I could find their movie?

My favorite toy growing up.
Rock Em Sock Em Robots and
Super Toe Football, that's where you hit the kicker on the head and he kicks the ball.

Lilith 07-01-2002 01:49 PM

Aqua~ that is exactly what I am talking about..........you and me to the moon baby

Coach~ I totally loved Rockem Sockem Robots....our Nintendo:D

When I was a kid we called it "Super Jock Football"! I also miss my Phantom 4 hovercraft...

Glad I'm not the only one who remembers the Garbage Pail Kids. I had some of the cards when I was like five or six and I ended up throwing them away because they gave me nightmares :)
I'm going to get on E-BAY to see if I can find any.

Does anyone remember;when Playboy magazine;was considered
pornographic;BECAUSE they even showed bare breasts?Big difference;between then and now.I used to steal my uncles;and
hide them;in the saddlebag;of my english bicycle so that I could
jerk off in the woods. Irish

Clint 07-03-2002 11:52 AM

Nice to know Irish :)

When my grandfather died, we got his 1959 Studebaker. I learned to drive a stick shift on that car. It had what they called a hill-holder brake. Once you had the clutch in, you could take you foot off the brake pedal and the brake would hold until the clutch was released. Great for starting out on a hill so you dodn't roll back.

It had a bench seat and a "three on the tree" shifter. Every girl I dated learned how to shift gears for me so I wouldn't have to take my arm from around her to shift.

That's really cool vgavoy :) Wish I drove a stick. LOL

How about the Original G.I.Joe action figures. The ones that stood 11" tall and came with all kinds of accesories. I used to have two of them and they had enjoyed the pelasures of every Barbie doll that we came across. Now those were the days.

Clint 07-03-2002 01:31 PM

Hey Prophet....I actually still have one of the G.I. Joe action figures. My cousin gave it to me when he was cleaning out his attic :)

I miss my friend Beth. She overdosed a few years back. We had some great times even with all the blank spots in between. At moments like these I miss my mind the most.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I, too, had a friend that passed on not too long ago. If you need anybody to talk to, I'm here :)
