They cant tell exactly until they get in there.....and they get more of a 'feel' for what size will suit

Have they said how long the hospital stay is and how long to recuperate?

Appox. 4 days in hospital....and at least 4 weeks to recover...but as my job is highly physical it could be longer depending how well i heal

In the US...they commonly give out a surgical bra afterwards that has a kind of "inner tube" in it which supports your breasts as they heal, and also keeps them perky. ;)

I dunno if they offer it in ANZ, but if not you might want to look into getting one. I had a friend at work who recently had the surgery and they FORGOT to give her one. She just found out about it and hit the roof...it's been hard for her to find bras with enough support for her during the healing process and she's been in a lot of pain. I hear she's getting her surgical bra next week and she can't wait.

I am supplied with a surgical bra....and a fitted for a normal bra whilst in hospital

I may have to wear one of each, each day and night for a while.

Quick, come here and let me check out your size, shape, sensetivity now before the surgery and then after they healso as to see, feel the differance. Also both examinations might take quite some time and may require total nudity. :D :D

Well now what a trip this has been *L*

UPDATE: I'm back off to surgery on the 29th June to start the nipple reconstruction process

He wanted to do it with just a local....i got wide eyed and said 'there be not a hope in hell of that happening buddy...knock me out completely' He chuckled I told him i'm still getting over the last pin cushion episode...

So i will be going under a general anaesthesia...in and out the same day (woohoooo) then a week recovery and it had better all go well DAMMIT *LOL*
