I've been watching from the start. I just finished reading the thread and see I'm in the majority. Chris and Taylor ROCK!! And Paris, Mandisa are excellent too.......although I do really, really like Kelly.

I had the bottom 3 picked last night.........even wrote down what I thought. But I was surprised at which one went tonight. I totally expected it to be Bucky. I like the kid, but I don't think he'll be around much longer. He doesn't have the range. That was obvious when he, and a few others weren't familiar with Stevie Wonder's music.

Anyway, I'll be checking in again on this one. :p

I completely agreed with the bottom 3. Lil did you find out who it was? I suppose it's safe to assume it's been long enough not to spol it.... I did want to see him go. But I really thought it would be Bucky this time. I thought he was the worst that night. Although overall... America mad the right choice.. in my opinion.

I really can't say enough about Chris though. His rendition of Walk The Line was awesome. I'm hoping he releases it.

The are al looking better. I know what you mean Lil about Elliot. I think he's adorable But he gets this chin thing going on when he sings. They're tring to shoot him so it's not so aparant.

I was not at all surprised

Neither was I. However I had Kelly in the bottom 3 rather than Catherine McPhee. I did have Ace and Lisa. I think both Kelly and Bucky are REALLY going to have to pick up their game if they want to stick around much longer. Next week is Country music, so maybe they'll do okay. It's gonna come down to song choice for both of them. Country music may be problematic for Elliot....and maybe for Ace too. The rest, I'm sure will do great. Just my .02 for whatever it's worth.

I still think it'll come down to either Chris or Mandisa. I also think that if they can "cute" up Elliot some, it'll be a good thing... but I like him just the same and he's got a very good voice.

Wow! I just looked it up. Well it is a popularity contest, and obviously that part has taken over at this point. It does every time eventually.

True, but I honestly thought she was more popular than that. I was 1 for 3 as for who was in the bottom 3. I had it as Elliott, Bucky, and either Ace or Catherine. The only one I was right on was Elliott.

Next week they will be doing songs by Queen. I think the only one with an obvious advantage with that one, is Chris. He should really shine, in my very humble opinion.

I was completely floored, I didn't expect my girl Mandisa to be out so soon! I honestly thought it was time for either Ace or Taylor to go.

That's the thing! It's really disappointing when people are 'forgotten'. I missed her performance but had a feeling she wouldn't have the country vibe.

Actually she did a pretty good job. She sang Shania's "Any Man Of Mine". I thought she was much better than Elliott this week. I've been voting, but it was hard this week....kept getting busy signals. Only got two votes in before the time expired.

I loved Kellie Pickler she is so sweet and i just think she looks Innocent!!!! I didn't care too much for Ace or Taylor this week

Next week Rod Stewart will be helping out the contestants with singing the "old standards". It may be a tough week for Chris, since they are pretty much limited in how much they can "adjust" the song to suit themselves, but I'm sure he'll find a way to shine. It should be a good week for Elliot and Catherine.....and probably Paris too.

I wasn't surprised to see him go either. But we've just about gotten to the stage where no matter who goes home it will seem unfair, because they're all so good.

I'm no Ace fan, but I think he did a better job than Kellie this week. My opinion is that based on the performance, she should have gone home. That having been said, I was not surprised to see that she wasn't in the bottom three.

I like Kellie a lot.........that being said, I honestly thought she would have been the one going home. I think she gave the weakest performance of all the contestants. I don't believe that Chris deserved to be in the bottom 3. I think that happened only because there is probably a certain element of voters who expect him to do hard rock every time and were disappointed that he sang something entirely different. They probably didn't stop to consider just how limited he was by the "theme" of the week. He'll be limited again next week with the theme being Love Songs. I'm not crazy about Catherine, but I have to admit she did a bang-up job this week.

Chris was dead sexy and Elliot was awesome.

I personally did not care for the theme and think it should not be done again. They seem to want to groom the contestants to be pop stars but then pick a classical singer for them to work with? Thus, I had the show on, but really struggled to give it my attention. I know the judges praised Elliot but I was just bored with his song and from then on my attention was lost.

Did anyone notice Kat's near "wardrobe malfunction" as the slit of her dress popped open one more button?

Anyone else thinking Catherine is trying to act like she's not "effected" or full of herself...but is sooooooooooooo effected and enchanted with herself? I'm surprised she doesn't insist on being surrounded by mirrors!

Oops! That ^^^ reads a lot more catty than I mean it. The girl is gorgeous...no doubt! I'm just surprised Simon let her get this far without mentioning how into herself she is. He is usually telling the contestants (specially early in the show) how effected they come off.

Oh...so as to who got booted last night? Guess I'll find out at work.
