Thanx all, i love her to bits already. It looks like she maybe here Thursday or Friday all going well.

I've picked 2 registered names for her, just now have to wait to see if they are available. These must start with an 'A'

Her pet name is Nika (Nee - ka), it just seems to fit her *L*

I didn't know that when you registered a dog they told you the letter the name had to begin with. Interesting.

I love "Nika." Neat name for a very precious dog.

The registering body doesn't hun. The Breeder stipulated an A name as this is her "A" Litter (first litter) All the pups will have registered A names. It helps with keeping track of whos who.

The registered name is only allowed to be 24 characters.

With the breeders prefix being 10 letters

then the part of the title that the other 'A' pups have

With all the above it left 4 letters to add her title. The name i wanted wouldn't fit!

The breeder was good enough to allow me to choose the name i wanted...so in short

Nika will be slightly different to the other A littemates,,,,in that she will have the Prefix and then her name, not middle that allthe others have

Well scoob jumped up on the gate and was half hanging over in his excitement *L*...Nika went WTF is THAT!! and hid LOL. Liver treat for them both soon got em closer.

Got the same word from our vet about Riley, who packed on about 10 lbs. since last year.

Wish my two dogs could interact as well as yours. Grumpy old dog Lucky just goes, "Grrrrr-ruffruff!" which generally means, "Get outta my face!" or "Quit sniffing my butt!" :argue:

The only time Scoob lifts his lips at her and snarls is when food is involved, hence they are supervised at din time, and if she grabs his tug toy (she safe while i'm watching though 'cause he knows i'll grumble at him if he does it *L*)

A rescue story

Friday 17th Oct

I bought home a female axolotl from work (it lives there).

I've been watching it for a while, well Thursday night i HAD to say something to them, i just couldn't stand seeing this poor thing suffering anymore. It is really quite ill and i dont think i've ever seen an axolotl this thin. They are ignorant owners, not abusive as such, so they let me bring her home while i try to get her back to health, and while a new suitable tank is being set up. I must give them credit that they are very willing to change the axolotls habitat and care so i'm pleased with that.

So fingers crossed for the female, 'cause honestly, this axolotl is in doubt if she will survive

She is eating well now, so very confident she will fully recover! Missy has been with me 10 days now (arrived on the 17th OCt) and there has been a marked improvement. Still a ways to go, but she's getting there!

Missy is still eating well and slowly gaining more weight, i'll grab new pics soon
