He puts bacon, onions, potatoes, a bit of flour, milk, chicken broth, and cream cheese to thicken it up. I also add mushrooms! It's sooooooo good! (Sorry Boog, I'm telling everyone your recipe lol!)

IowaMan 12-20-2006 06:44 PM

Now that does sound good. :thumb:

Sorry Boog for "making" her spill the recipe. For some reason I read "Booger" in her initial post but my mind read "Lake". I thought maybe PS was teaching her mom one of his family secret recipes or something. :banghead:

Booger 12-20-2006 10:03 PM

Thats just fine not sure if it's realy my recipe. Just a good genral Patotoe soup recipe is all. The nice thing is you can add other stuff too.

IowaMan 12-21-2006 07:49 PM

Made a big casserole dish full of chicken enchiladas w/spanish rice. Didn't turn out as great as I was hoping but at least I've got some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. :p

IowaMan 01-05-2007 05:20 PM

Think I'm just going to grill a couple of ham, turkey and cheese sandwiches. Throw some Baked Lays on the side and a tall glass of milk.

Lilith 01-05-2007 06:24 PM

Oldfart 01-06-2007 01:21 AM

I'll be at work, so a cheese and vegemite roll and some grapes.

maddy 01-06-2007 10:50 AM

Not sure about dinner, but lunch is going to be beef roast, carrots and smashed potatoes. The roast is in the oven, and I just might have overdone it on the onions.

osuche 01-07-2007 12:41 AM

Tuna noodle casserole....at 5 pm. Coming home from Israel has turned us into senior citizens. We got up at 5 am, ate dinner at 5 pm, and I went to bed at 6:30 pm.

IowaMan 01-12-2007 04:06 PM

I believe I'll throw together a pizza since I just bought all the ingredients to do so. Right now it's looking like it will have: pepperoni, canadian bacon, bacon, onion, mushrooms and green pepper. I forgot to buy the damn olives.

maddy 01-14-2007 06:31 PM

beef tips and gravy, jasmine rice, and steamed carrots

Lilith 01-14-2007 06:44 PM

chicken and egg noodles, salad, and steamed carrots

Irezumi Kiss 01-14-2007 07:23 PM

Most likely cubed steak and potatoes over sauteed udon noodles, if I go to the place I think I'm going to after the movie.

IowaMan 01-14-2007 08:49 PM

Thought I'd mess around and see what I could come up with. I ended up cooking a couple of chicken hooters and making sort of a chili alfredo sauce for them. Wasn't too bad but I went a little too far with the cumin and it was a bit stronger than I would've liked. Ate it over a bed of white rice with a salad on the side (romaine, red onion, bacon bits, garlic croutons, carrot, parsley and a very little dab of ranch dressing). As always washed down with a large icy glass of 2% milk.

osuche 01-15-2007 01:22 AM

Hunan chicken and rice at 4 pm...might have some leftovers soon.

Oldfart 01-15-2007 04:06 AM

Some healthy stir fry thing.

IowaMan 01-15-2007 05:39 PM

Looks like I'm going for a four egg omelet. Fill it up with mushrooms, onion, green pepper, cheddar, pizza sauce and a little parmesan. Wish I would've bought those olives the other night. :(

jay-t 01-15-2007 09:15 PM

I'm not sure yet.

Depends on which window has the shortest line. :rolleyes2

IowaMan 01-16-2007 02:04 PM

I'm going to have pork loin roast but I haven't decided just how to cook it yet. I'm leaning towards putting it in the "Set it and forget it" machine and letting it roast that way. From there some sort of potato dish and maybe some carrots or corn.

jbh3 01-16-2007 03:36 PM

Bob Evans Bacon , egg , and cheese on a biscuit! All hail the MICROWAVE!!! :loveshowe

IowaMan 01-16-2007 11:20 PM

I went ahead and did the pork loin in the rotisserie and it turned out great. I accidentally made some really good mashed potatoes too. I was going to make them with garlic & cheese but didn't realize until I was ready to add the cheese that I didn't have what I needed. I did have a can of that Frito Lay mild cheddar dip so I used a little of it and a little less milk & sour cream than I normally would and it turned out really good.

osuche 01-17-2007 12:40 AM

Stouffer's Lasagna and garlic bread - only thing I had the bandwidth for. :(

IowaMan 01-17-2007 11:04 PM

I just realized that the cup of tea w/mint and the peanut butter toast must have been my dinner.

osuche 01-18-2007 01:34 AM

falafel sandwich

WildIrish 01-18-2007 10:12 AM

I'm thinking it's a good night for meatloaf & mashed potatoes.

IowaMan 01-18-2007 02:43 PM

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes does sound good.

I took out a few chicken hooters earlier to thaw and plan on wrapping them with bacon and roasting them. Not sure what else I'll make though. Probably some sort of cheesy potato dish. Maybe some green beans.

Lilith 01-18-2007 05:54 PM

I dunno. Whatcha' makin' me?

Neige 01-18-2007 06:48 PM
