I was out walking with my headset on, blaring, pounding the pavement, walking around the big green lush cowpasture with it's black and chocolate brown cows and calves. Try to just walk, and not think....not think. Then this song comes on...and I think "God I hate this fucking song" . All I can hear is thunder rolling in the distance and the damn song. Finally I can hold it in no longer, and as the first tears start streaming, I am startled by a huge hawk swooping so low I can almost touch him. Wings spread out wide, as he heads out across the open meadow to a tall old majestic oak. I've never see one like that, he was beautiful.....

What Do They Know They say that life goes on I'll find true love again. It's not the end of the world, one day my heart will mend. Took a sad song of one sweet evening
I smiled and quickly turned away. It's not easy singing sad songs but still the easiest way I have to say. So when you look into the sun and see the things we haven't done -- oh was it better then to run than to spend the summer crying. Now summer cannot come anyway. I had waited for time to change her. The only change that came was over me. She pretended not to want love -- I hope she was only fooling me. So when you look into the sun look for the pleasures nearly won. Or was it better then to run than to spend the summer singing. And summer could have come in a day. So if you hear my sad song singing remember who and what you nearly had. It's not easy singing sad songs when you can sing the song to make me glad.
