Gin and tonic. :)

Which is better: Fall or Spring?

dicksbro 10-27-2017 01:11 AM

I love the fall colors and (especially early into the fall, the refreshing cool mornings but warm days. But, I think Spring is my favorite. The budding of leaves the trees. Seeing the new born baby animals (squirrels or rabbits). Feeling the warm sun bringing a refreshing look at life at it's most exuberant best ... plus there's six more months of relatively good weather until winter returns.

WIB: White or Red wines?

jseal 10-29-2017 09:04 AM

Red for darker meats, white for lighter meats.

Which is better: Telephone or videophone?

dicksbro 10-30-2017 12:06 AM

Telephone (IMHO)

WIB: Coffee or tea?

PantyFanatic 10-30-2017 11:19 AM

Coffee :coffee:

WIB? Milk or dark chocolate?

gekkogecko 10-30-2017 11:21 AM

Dark chocolate, by far.

WiB: Flying in a sedate commuter aircraft, or flying in an open cockpit stunt aircraft.

PantyFanatic 10-30-2017 11:37 PM

I've never been in a 'stunt plane' but did have a ride in Stearman biplane that I rank far above the many many commercial flights I've had. Open cockpit is a real experience. :yikes:

WIB? Skiing or snow boarding?

dicksbro 10-31-2017 12:44 AM

Haven't done either in so many years, I probably shouldn't even answer "which is better" but I love watching downhill skiing, I'll say that. (Actually, I never did downhill, but when I was a kid in Minnesota, we used to use skis just to get around over the snow covered ground.

How about you ... skiing or snowboarding?

gekkogecko 10-31-2017 06:39 AM

Yes it is, and I highly recommend it, if you haven't had the chance.

Like you, I haven't had to chance to do either, but my second-favorite sport is Biathlon, which combines cross-country skiing with target shooting...so, skiing.

WiB: Filing papers or filing your nails?

dicksbro 11-06-2017 03:26 AM

Filing papers ... I guess ... unless of course the fingernails are rough.

WIB: Hot Tea vs Hot Buttered Rum?

PantyFanatic 11-08-2017 01:45 PM

Hot buttered rum

WIB? Colt or Snith & Wessen?

.... (you can't be wrong :roflmao: )

dicksbro 11-10-2017 05:12 AM

I'll say Colt ... unless of course you offer me a Smith and Wessen. Of course, you didn't mention Remington or Winchester ... they're nice, too. Oh yeah, there are others that might also be good to have ... er ... I'd better stop. We were only suppose to pick from the two. :(

WIB: Ice Cream Shakes or Ice Cream Sundaes?

jseal 11-10-2017 09:39 AM

I'm partial to Ice Cream Shakes.

Which is better: an extra day off, or time and a half?

dicksbro 11-11-2017 03:50 AM

Let's see, I've got every day off being retired so I'll say time and a half ... I can always use more hours in a day.

WIB: A warm coat or long, thermal underwear?

jseal 01-19-2018 05:48 AM

A warm coat.

Which is better: DVDs or streaming video?

PantyFanatic 01-19-2018 09:32 PM

Being old I still like something physical in my hand but so many things (and more and more every day) are only available in the ether, even OS software. So, CD/DVD is my preference but is going away. :tear:

WIB? Sun sets or sun rises?

dicksbro 01-20-2018 05:24 AM

That's a touch one. Don't know that I have a favorite. I love sunrises ... especially in the warm months because it means that I have a good day ahead of me. But sunsets tend to be beautiful and a time for closeness which is truly wonderful. I gotta go with both.

WIB: A clock that is stopped or one that loses a second each year?

jseal 01-20-2018 11:01 AM

LOL! One that loses a second each year.

Which is better: Win7 or Win10?

dicksbro 01-20-2018 04:58 PM

Which is better: Win7 or Win10?

Well, I'm on Win10 but I'm not so sure I like it as well as Win7. Oh well.

Join the crowd!

Which is better: Rainy days or snowy days?

dicksbro 01-29-2018 01:02 AM

Rainy days although neither is good if it gets carried away.

WIB: Picnic in the park or dinner in a restaurant?

jseal 02-03-2018 01:36 PM

I'll go with picnic in the park. :)

Which is better: Internal compustion powered automobiles, or electrically powered ones?

dicksbro 02-04-2018 02:21 AM

Suppose it depends on the job. If long-range is a crucial element ... internal combustion probably still has the edge. I primarily local use ... electric is looking more attractive (although purchase costs are still high).

jseal 02-14-2018 05:48 AM

Which is better: Local news, or international news?

dicksbro 02-15-2018 01:05 AM

Hard to say ... which is better ... Joe shoots Sally or Country 1 bombs Country 2. Better seems like the wrong word.

Which is better ... Dutch Apple Pie or Banana Cream Pie?

jseal 02-17-2018 06:59 AM

Dutch Apple Pie.

Which is better: Wallpaper, or paint?

dicksbro 02-18-2018 03:27 AM

I like wallpaper but my one attempt wasn't the success I hoped for so I think I'll stick with paint.

WIB: Running out of gas or a flat tire? :yikes:

jseal 02-24-2018 08:34 AM

My selection as the lesser of the two evils would be running out of gas.

Which is better: Hardbound or paperback books?

jseal 04-14-2018 06:29 AM

Paperback

Which is better: Free or Fair?

dicksbro 04-15-2018 02:13 AM

I suppose that depends on what we're talking about. If it's paperbacks (or books in general), I'd say fair. If the story is crappy it'll have an appropriate price (I'd hope). If it's a masterpiece, costing more would not be out of line. Puts more of a burden on quality then "free."

Which is better: A bad weather day off work or a good weather day when you have to work?

jseal 04-21-2018 05:36 PM

A bad weather day off work! I can still post here then!

Wich is better: Station wagon or SUV?

dicksbro 04-22-2018 01:51 AM

Probably the SUV although I've never owned one ... but I did own and like two station wagons ... a '63 Ford and a 70' Chevy.

WIB ... Japanese or Korean cars?

PantyFanatic 04-22-2018 03:13 AM

Is there really a difference other than being able to have a tailgate with the station wagon? LOL

WIB: Hot chocolate in the winter or cold lemon aid in the summer?

dicksbro 04-23-2018 02:14 AM

Hot chocolate in the winter (I'm not a real big lemon aid fan. :( ).

WIB: Being early or late to a party?

gekkogecko 04-23-2018 09:33 AM

Being early, 'cause then you get to help set up.

WiB: A banana or an orange as part of your complete breakfast?

dicksbro 04-24-2018 01:54 AM

For me ... probably a banana although oranges aren't bad either.

WIB: Running out of gas while driving somewhere ... or staying put with a full tank? :spin:

jseal 04-28-2018 08:01 AM

Running out of gas! Love the adventure! :D

Which is better: Cheering for the 2018 Orioles or root canal work?

dicksbro 04-29-2018 01:51 AM

Let's cheer for the ORIOLES. Probably one of central Illinois' few but still my favorite!

Which is better ... the flu or paying taxes?

PantyFanatic 04-29-2018 12:04 PM

The flu. That way I know the disgusting situation will end soon rather than go on and on.

WIB? Being robbed of your money or watching what happens with your tax money?

dicksbro 04-29-2018 11:51 PM

Tough one. Probably watching what is done with your tax money. Seems like the only successful thing ever done is raising their own salaries. :(

WIB? Dressing too warm on a warm day or not warm enough on a cool one?
