They have some stores right here in town, so I wouldn't have to go far.

We have driven about 100 miles to see a friend and probably would go further if necessary.

as far as I cuold do so comfortably (don't want to break something) and within my financial means.

About 25 miles. That's where I got my wife her ring for Christmas (and she is my very best friend).
